some people are using welding face shield for covid protection.   
 good idea tho, it covers the top, and sides by the ear. 
 it does have a short coming, it doesn't cover the bottom part which is mostly open. thats prolly easy to fix using a hack like putting duct tape plus some paper towels on it.
 
 a lot of of the plastic face shields that's on the market, I've seen don't have any chin protection.
I've seen some really bizarre ones as well.
  wearing a Diver's helmet is one of them. lol.
they have some good ones that cover every part of your face but they're expensive, like $200 or more.
