My dad forced my pro basketball and football teams on me. He was born and raised in Los Angles so he was a die hard Lakers fan. He married my mom who was from Texas and became a big Cowboys fan. I had no say in the matter.
I don't mind that he forced the Lakers on me but I have Stockholm syndrome with the Cowboys. I was able to escape from them for a few games when Ryan Leaf and Drew Henson were the QBs, but I came back and will never leave again. I think I just like being disappointed and tortured by them every year since 1995.

oeb, I can't be cured. I don't know whether hypnotism actually works but if I believed it would work on me, I'd be the first in line and the Chiefs would be my favorite team and I would forget about the Cowboys. Actually, I would probably tell the hypnotist to make me a Jets or Redskins (or whatever the fuck they are called now) fan because they suck and I would never have high hopes about anything with them.

I quit wearing my sports T-shirts adorned with past milestones to preserve them for museum items ... the "rumors" are not rumors. Former fans are abandoning their loyalty in response to the disrespect of the flag and this country shown by management, staff, and players.
If the likes of Nike can't sell shows the ad money will dry up.

Gentlemen, the NBA bubble concept is pretty intriguing. The arena in Orlando is a surreal but interesting environment for restarting the game. Much better than MLB, which may not make it through another week, and the NFL, from which scores of players are opting out. They might actually finish their season. So kudos to them for their approach to reopening America. That is what we all want, right? At the same time, if they succeed, it will be by the efforts of people of color and immigrants, and that’s something the Trump base just cannot abide. Time to enter the 20th Century and simply look away, Dixie land.
