Actually, the OP has this backward at least in the context of citing the above cults because of the "leaders" of these cults manipulated the spirituality of their members with "sexuality" or just sex. They allowed themselves to be brainwashed while serving the sexual, financial, and criminal exploits of the dictator.

OP, what is your definition of spirituality? What do you feel is the difference between a “spiritual connection” and “cult manipulation”? I could make an argument that some of those cult followers felt they had a very deep spiritual connection with their leader. In order to have a proper discourse, defining words and concepts for mutual understanding is vital.

If OP is asking if anyone reaches a "spiritual existence" in the context of finding peace and harmony outside the cults she quoted then I would say yes. Really great sex is one of the few peaceful moments I have experienced over the years.

Yes. This is actually part of my field of study and this is exactly what happens. The examples in first post are all manipulative killers that couldn't give a rat's ass about spirituality except for using it as a way to manipulate their followers...ending in mass deaths.

On top of that, they were all sociopaths who probably can't even understand the concept of their own spirituality.
