That is NOT what I said. Immigration issues are very extensive. I focused on one of those issues (merit-based immigration) and you decided to expand it to several issues which were irrelevant to my point. I have no problem with you bringing up other discussion points on the subject but not when it takes focus away from a point being made.

You may not agree with the Democratic platform but please be truthful about what their platform is. I am not saying I agree with all the talking points in their platform but it is important for voters to know what they are. No mention of eliminating ICE. No mention of "medicare for all". No mention of higher education for all. In other words. no mention of Ocasio-Cortez goals in most areas.

Ok Speedracer. The official Democratic platform does not list that. That's the perception that certain progressives are giving. I'll be interested to see the Democratic convention when it happens and how they are going to address

Me too. I think the Republican party had this problem when the Tea Party arose. Moderates vs. extremists. The Tea Party started back in Obama's first term and this new wing of the Democratic party seems to be forming during Trump's first term. My political viewpoints disagree with both of the extremist groups.

the same could easily be said about the Republican party. The Democrats are nowhere near as divided or as much of a mess as the Republicans are. FACT!

I really don't care what comes out on the Dem side. As I said, the current administration doesn't need them to do what they want. (I.E. Obamacare. That was pushed through with minimal GOP help.)

When is Mexico paying for the wall? In the hopes that this thread will go on, *imo* you probably hope never. That would kill ~90% of the topic here.
