Protonmail is a secure, free email service. I've heard good things about SafeOffice as well, but I believe you have to pay for that one.

Not necessary. This new law doesn't pertain to individual providers. It specifically holds website owners liable for enabling prostitution.

It looks like FOSTA passed.. CL just took all the "personals" but BP is still up.

CL has had issues before so they are probably gun shy.

The bill is aimed at human trafficking but look at the agencies that have been hit and posted about on here. My gut tells me that the spas will be next..

this is part 4:
"(Sec. 4) The bill amends the Communications Act of 1934 to declare that section 230 does not limit: (1) a federal civil claim for conduct that constitutes sex trafficking, (2) a federal criminal charge for conduct that constitutes sex trafficking, or (3) a state criminal charge for conduct that promotes or facilitates prostitution in violation of this bill."

TER, The Erotic Review, took their ad sections down in the USA.

As stated above by Golovkin, the bill doesn't seem to address individual websites. All providers should get one up quickly if they don't have one already. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I'd stay away from those companies building/hosting escort webpages exclusively as they might be covered under the trafficking bill.

Make sure your provider name is prominent on the first page of your site. If gents lose your contact info, then they can Google you.

I think BP may have foreseen this. Their escort ads have been gone for a while, and in the "personal" classifieds, they changed to just letting ladies post a phone number and a link to social media, plus pics, but NO actual advertising copy that could be seen as soliciting. Might be a workaround for a while, but doubtful BP can argue the intent away.

I'm shocked, too, that this is actually coming to pass. I've been on the edge of retiring or going totally UTR for a while, but hate being PUSHED out, dammit! Hell no, I won't go gentle into that good night! I will rage, rage against the dying of the light! (Thanks, Bob Dylan.)

Ladies, copy your Showcases, ads, pics, whatever from ECCIE as soon as possible if this is data you'll need to retrieve. Same for fellows and your favorite providers' info, and you newbies should save the whole Houston Newbie-Friendly Provider List. Screening's going to tighten up, likely, with all of the public pressure on the Hobby. Lads might want to get screened in advance.

Glad I kept my website and domain name, now, as I had been debating on letting them go. My one-pager directing to ECCIE will have to be fully restored over the weekend to be independent of any other site. The bill passed but in't a law yet, but the clock is ticking down. Can't imagine Trump not signing off, even if he has been a Hobbyist and brought a ho in as First Lady!

Sad day for consenting play.
