Default Cancellation Consequences

There is another thread where a provider charged a hobbyist a cancellation fee.

Is this common? How many providers charge cancellation fees?

Also, what results, if any, are typical when the provider stands up the hobbyist? Guys, do you usually demand a discount?

Possibly not related - I had an appointment this morning to see a provider. She confirmed the appointment. I drove to the indicated hotel and received no further contact.

IDK. Maybe she fell asleep. Maybe she saw me in the car and got a bad feeling about me. IDK. Just nothing. Happens I know, but now I have the Viagra headache with nothing to show for it.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I think when this happens with Eccie gals we should say who it is, after they have had enough time to make it right. As far as cancellation fees I have never cancelled with less than 48 hours of notice and not with anyone that has listed they have a cancellation fee. I do think if a provider is going to have a cancellation fee it should be listed in all of her ads. Just my thoughts

She is a sipsap girl, and a fairly new one. I thought she was quite attractive and took a chance. Maybe she went back to sleep. That happens.

NCNS should be put in the coed section, but it is always best to wait 24 hours just in case a family emergency happened and they were not able to notify you.

There are a few providers that list a cancellation fee, but not too many. Most are about half their hourly rate, some do a flat $100 to mostly cover room costs. If you are a regular, they often cut you a few breaks.

And if the provider already paid for a room that I'm not able to share, well I would be cool with covering that. I would prefer to add that as a bonus on the next visit, but if my plans change at the last second I don't think the provider should be out money for that.

I would not knowingly book an appointment with someone who has a cancellation fee. Partly because, if they require a paypal to pay the charge, they will have RL information, or my bank now is stamped with the information from the provder; partly because there is no way for men to also charge a cancellation fee and we all know that NCNS and cancellations are common that direction. I should also point out that paypal has a strict policy about sex-related charges and providers should realize that even if you charge a client, that client can easily get that charge reversed.

That being said; it's a free market; a provider can charge anything she wants for a cancellation. But it's also a free market and I wouldn't book a provider who did. Stuff happens both ways. We are free to choose.

Also, if a provider threatened me with any kind of disclosure if I refused to pay, that information would be reported on this board promptly. I'm not saying that is or isn't what happened in the aforementioned circumstance; this board has a strict policy about outing members (or even potential future members), and I would expect that behavior to be stopped accordingly.

First, I would never pay a cancellation fee by PayPal. I only use cash for the hobby. If a provider wants a prepaid credit card, PayPal, or whatever, my answer is cash or nothing.

If a provider went and got a room just for us and I had to cancel at the very last minute, I don't think I have a problem covering that expense, though I would try to do that at the next session as soon as it could be arranged.

If I am trying to decide between a couple of providers, and one has a cancellation and another doesn't, then yeah, I will go with the one that doesn't.

I posted this under the Coed board for a reason. Let me post out to any providers who are reading - what is reasonable as a result of NCNS by a provider?

I'm waiting for the provider who accepts cryptocurrency to pop up!

I'm more in line with the notion that all appointments should be treated the same, which is to say that your should treat this just as you would an office meeting, doctor's appointment, etc. You wouldn't blow those off last minute as they were built into your schedule.

That said, I wish this was a two-way street. I've had an ungodly number of providers flake on me. Although, as members of a site like this, the hobbyist has a bit of power via the pen, er, keyboard. I haven't seen a provider post about NCNSs publicly, but I do sometimes see hobbyists doing so. This in itself is as much a discouragement as a cancelation fee. The problem is that not enough people, myself included^10, are willing to speak up. While it's certainly chivalrous to not want to potentially affect a woman's livelihood, you're aren't honestly contributing to the community as a whole.

This provides for interesting logistics, if you and the provider are in a bit of dispute about the validity of the cancellation fee, and feelings one way or the other. Sounds like a lose-lose situation to me.

Just speaking from a business model standpoint. a cancellation fee is a bad idea. Again, it's a free market so a provider can do whatever she wants to do, but expect the market to speak on whether they like it or not.

There was one in the Pacific NW that did, we met via the reddit escort sub she took all kinds of crypto. Claimed one of her regs was a guru on the BTC market and told her when to buy/sell. I stopped seeing her once I found out she had an "inner circle" that she engaged in bloodplay/barebacked.

Come to think of it I haven't heard anything from her since BitCoin went nuts.
