Here is my question it seems that good ol dic honeywell says that he attends the socials...is CK aware that good old dic honeywell is using his parties as a place to recruit more girls (and from the sound of it some guys LOL) for his own pathetic attempt at a pimping organization. I seriously doubt CK would be OK with the attention this might bring to his parties. Might be time to pull the good Marshall's [sic] invite.

First off, I have been aware of this thread for some time and I was (until I saw the post above) determined NOT to post in it because, it is what it is.

So let me say this, and then I will bow out.

Discussion HERE of individuals who may or may not attend community events is uncalled for and inappropriate.

I am not responsible for anything anyone other than myself might post on this or other boards.

The rules for the invites are simple and have been in place ever since 2002, and they have been recently edited to make it more clear that:

Members who don't show respect on the boards for other members likely cannot leave such personal issues outside the venue and thus may be denied invitations.

Respect is the keyword for behavior at all events.

No guest is required to embrace anyone, but all are required to at least be respectful if not cordial.

Each invitation reminds all guests to respect the event rules, which are the above mentioned RESPECT and no open hobby chatter, no mingling with "civilians" at the event venue and departure from the venue before or at the end of the event.

The current exact wording:

Basic invite rules

Attendance is by ck1942's invitation only after vouching and verification and screening by the social committee.

Respect all attendees. If you and other guests have issues outside the venue, please leave them outside the venue or skip the event. If you cannot show respect, please don't force the host to make selective decisions.

No illegal activities or illegal hobby chatter.

All events are only a "meet & greet."

No illegal activities. That means no play for pay, no drugs, absolutely nothing that can compromise the security of our members, guests and our host venue.

Please respect all attending by no inappropriate touching.

If you don't understand the rules, please ask ck1942 or another host to explain.

For the security of all involved - no cameras; no uninvited nor unsponsored guests not currently cleared by ck1942; no haggling over services, etc.

San Antonio events are currently in flux due to pending venue and days of week adjustments. Current invite members are being sent notices. Appropriate public announcements will be made next month.

However, perhaps a10bomb refers to your signature line which, for as long as I can remember, reads: "... only well-vouched and verified providers & hobbyists." The underlined emphasis placed on "well-vouched and verified" your own, not mine.

Doesn't the particular wording you've chosen suggest your endorsement of the hobby character and hobby practices of each attendee? If not, then what exactly have they been "vouched and verified" for, if a serial menace is welcomed to prey on those unaware of his conduct?

During that period, I saw him at a couple of non-site getogethers. Glad I got to meet and talk with him. People can put stuff aside and act like adults.

CK, I have attended your socials since, well, the 1st social in Houston.
I saw Dick Doc Marshmallow at the last social I attended, and honestly, I was both surprised and disappointed.

Majority of the ladies that attend your socials are young and fairly new to this business.These ladies mingle and jingle because they feel "safe" at your gatherings. They think the hobbyist they meet there are "safe" 99.9% of dates made at a social are not screened. The lady will just assume they are safe.

CK, I do not give a darn about anything written, or rules, or where or what is commented. You, as I, and others that have been in this hobby long enough to know, have to take some sort of responsibility, especially when you are hosting social gatherings and introducing providers to hobbyists and vice versa.

Love you CK, you are one of my dearest hobby friends, but IMHO, you are wrong allowing dick doc marshmallow to attend your socials.

Personally, I think you are too good of a person to even associate yourself with Dick Doc Marshmallow.
