I know you have the best intentions but being a former 17 year old sailor I really don't like the term child when used for a soldier or sailor. Being in college I can tell you that there is a vast difference between an 19 year old service member and a 19 year old student.

Not looking to offend anyone, (and I would say you are definitely correct in your inference that there is vast difference between a solder and a college student) but I'll bet a lot of those young men back in the "good ole days" were still virgins when they went into the service, (and to their parents, they were children) to give you, me and even the haters of this great country the rights that we now have.
