Just finished watching the speech.
Yes, it was a good speech. In fact, it was one of the more "presidential" speeches I have heard in a several years.
The basic theme? "America First". And it's time The President of The United States actually chooses to obey the words of the oath he took....."To protect and defend The Constitution of The United States".
By the way. The Democrat response is being given by a former Governor of Kentucky, Steve Beshear.
I suppose the Democrats are scared that if they put one of theircurrent Bat Shit Crazy Elected Officials out there, more Counties would be turning "Red" as they spoke.

yeah i found that interesting being from Kentucky. i moved to Texas in 1998 so Beshear wasn't yet Governor, he was Lt. Gov under Martha Lane Collins
i don't recall him doing much other than backing up Martha ..
