				 Moving forward

As it has become readily apparent, our forums have heated up a bit. I will admit I may have been a bit overzealous in trying to calm down the emotion. Some of my actions have called into question how the forums are moderated. That was not my intent. I only had the best interest of our forum in mind. From now on, I will attempt to moderate the forums that is in line with the desires of the other admin. Please keep in mind though that if there are violations of the guidelines, the mods must take action. I for one usually only give warnings unless there are gross violations. Over the past weeks, I was more inclined to give points and also engage directly on the boards. I will no longer do that. If I see a violation, I will take action through or infraction process and via PMs. In the same light, if anyone has questions on how the forum is moderated, I would respectfully ask that you PM the mods and try to keep the threads free of some of the crap that has been going on. Thanks.

So, in your view, all of this has been a bunch of crap? Your post was really good and was going great then you had to tell us to "try to keep the threads free of some of the crap that has been going on." Why couldn't you say what you had to say without blaming everyone else! This is so sad....

I like what you said in the 1st part of this CP and I am glad you came to yourself and said this

but if all of us just PM the mods with the things they are doing and not put it in the open Forum. Are we just Hiding it in the darkness and will it ever see the light of day.

The reason I am saying this I did try to Pm the mods when I saw you were wrong on what you all were doing. and nothing happen.

It wasn't un-till I took things in the open was anything done.

So to me if we keep things in the dark we are not moving forward. It will move backwards js

Nope. Light of day is best. If your actions as a moderator cannot hold up to public scrutiny, then you need to rethink your actions.

I'm trying to offer an olive branch here and am going to do a better job moderating in the future. I'm looking at how mods in other areas handle their board and learning from these mods and my own mistakes. If you have constructive suggestions for me and to some degree rrabbit, please share them a, I will listen. I think we all want to see our forums run smoothly, I'm willing to do my part.

I am glad to see you agree with me. I know Hiding things is no way to move forward ! its a good way to lose this board again.

There's always going to be those few people who are going to continuously open the wound back up and throw salt in it. Those are the type of people they are.

The past is the past. I vote we keep it in the past.

 | are doomed to repeat it, Bulldog.

Only way forward is to remember the past and take one step at a time and keep on moving without letting the past hinder the movement. But to let it go not being acknowledged would be flawed reasoning and unwise, if it were ONLY for the sake of just LETTING IT GO.
Keep on moving. |

Maybe I miss understood the context of what the "it stings" comment was intended. I found it insultive--probably wasn't. Life goes on |
