If you give a provider too much $ would you ask for it back

Easy scenario, if you booked a one hour appt for say 3$ and accidentally give the providor 4$ you realize it in the car. Would you call her and ask for the $ back? Providors, if the hobbyist didn't say anything I'm sure you would assume it was a tip but if he called and asked for it back what would you do?

I have had the other situation happen. Once or twice I have forgotten or almost forgot to leave the contribution. I think if you ask for the difference back it is a personal thing. I wouldn't unless it was a bad session or you have a limited play budget and by leaving that extra it will mean you have to give up another session later.

First of all: It's P-R-O-V-I-D-E-R
Second of all: If a guy gave me more money then he was suppose to then that means it's a tip. If he called me wanting the extra back I'd give it back to him. But I'd probably laugh at him thoroughly for being a failure at math (I'm joking, guys)

Doing this would be very cheap and petty. She shouldn't call your back, and you shouldn't call her back.

That is totally what I thought...

And to be clear I count and double count mine and keep it seperate and I don't carry my wallet to appointments. I only carry the amount of cash up front agreed upon and maybe a little extra for a tip but if I leave the cash I would never call and ask for it back... Maybe if I realized before I left and it was something significant like an extra 100 on a 200 appointment but if it was say an extra 20 I wouldn't even think of asking for it back even if I just handed it to her and immediately realized it.

Anyone that leaves an extra $200 by mistake shouldn't leave the house with cash, period. I would hate for you to accidently give the cashier at Wal-Mart an extra $200. Or the homeless guy on the corner a $100 bill instead of a 10. God forbid you put $200 in the collection plate at church instead of $20

On the other hand. Recently I thought I made the mistake of shorting a girl a $100. 45 mins later I called her to verify, nope I didnt.

Respect goes a long way between both sides. If you left a little extra, oh well right it off. Now if it's a couple hundred, I'll be curious, how it would plays out. But I haven't been in that situation.
