Question about pushy men possibly being le
Good morning!
Not sure if I'm posting in correct section, but since if felt "fishy" to me, I felt from the feedback it may warrant a warning for the other ladies. I'm "sapphire" on bp, sorry for any confusion, trying to figure out how to get everything in sync here and add pix and become verified (finally got 2 reviews! 😊 . I'm a "newbie" of sorts, so please bear with me. So, yesterday I had a call from a guy that was cool at first, but when I attempted to do some screening, he gave me his handle on here, and he has quite a few reviews on ladies he's seen. Funny thing is, he got very pushy and even tried to get me to see him in a parking lot. It struck me as odd, for someone to have that many reviews out here and to be a member, the pushiness kinda had me concerned. We also got on the topic of someone that used to be my "best friend" and worked, she stole my car and money, and son and well, that's over, needless to say. I don't know if I can post her name her, so I'll leave that alone. He told me that a few weeks ago, someone had texted him from her number saying she was dead, had wrecked my stolen car. I know this is not true for a fact. He said they were buddies and he's seen her several times. It just all seemed very "off" to me. My question is, even if they have a handle on here, does that mean that they are probably okay, and it's okay to see them?? I haven't seen many people, I'm sure the trust issue goes both ways, I also think that my "friend" May be doing some shady things since I reported my car stolen. I believe she is now with a pimp and I'm pretty sure he's not a "real" one and isn't about business, just money. There is a difference, although I can't see handing my hard earned money to anyone else, to each his own. Well, hope someone can help, and I would like to keep other ladies aware of this number if it's not legit.

Most definitely do not just accept to see someone because they have a handle on this board. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can create a handle, even Leo. Do your screening, trust your instincts.

If you are so inclined, you may post his Eccie handle and her Eccie handle, but not their real names if they are members.
You may post his phone number if you disguise it, i.e, 8*6-2*4-**4* and the ladies who want to know the remaining digits can send a PM to you requesting the complete number and you may disclose it back channel.

Take what Scorp said to the bank (no pun intended), but don't just stop your screening process at the fact that he has a handle on ECCIE with reviews. Take the screening process (at least) one step further and contact those providers to determine validity, his attitude (if the provider remembers him), etc. Normally, a potential client will have a list of "go-to" providers that he can use as reliable references, so that when asked for references (even though he has an ECCIE handle), he can provide those names. He should have already contacted those ladies to tell them to expect a reference call, and the process moves much simpler and smoother. If he balks at that, for whatever reason, tell him you aren't comfortable and suggest he move on.
Good luck, darlin'! Play safe!
Now.... excuse me while I go read some reviews to see if Sapphire ticks....

If he says he has a handle on here, one of the first things I suggest is that you have him send you a PM on here. I have heard of cases where someone says he is a specific person on here, but is actually lying, and is not the person here he says he is. So don't accept his word, and ask for a PM from him. The demeanor he showed would seem unlikely he is a credible member here.
Also what was said above...re references, for your own safety. Be safe.

I had a guy contact me the other day, was REALLY REALLY resistant to all of my screening and kept telling me to check out his reviews on his DISABLED account and that I should just take his word that he's a safe guy even tho he had NO VALID references, and was extremely rude and pushy. His handle was Dflash, is this the same guy that was bothering you?

all good advice here, but that stuck out to me as well. If LE was lazy and just picked a handle from here with lots of reviews and posts to text to you, why didn't you ask him to send a PM? At least then you know he has access to the account.

Well in my case the guy's account was disabled. But that's true for all of us ladies in the future. Always ask for a PM to confirm someone's handle is really them.

Hi there Simply Me. Welcome to our little community.
First off, never EVER be afraid to trust your gut. If you are getting a bad vibe, even if the guy hasn't said or done anything specific, but your gut is telling you no, then don't hesitate to listen to your gut. Not all good money is bad money, so if you are uncomfortable, just walk away. Better safe than sorry is a really good motto for this business.
Secondly, there have been times when someone contacted a provider and claimed to be someone from ECCIE and gave a handle name that did not belong to them. So Hey123's suggestion is a good one. If someone calls you and tells you they are so-and-so from ECCIE, ask him to send you a PM on ECCIE.
Lastly, and just as importantly, a hobbyist's list of reviews is not a good screening tool in and of itself. Always remember that the review is the hobbyist's perspective on how things went. The lady he reviewed might have a very different perspective. That is why references are better. You hear from the lady herself how her experience went.
Welcome aboard, you asked some good questions. This place is a great resource to help you get started off right!
