JLIdiot, errr DSKIdiot, what more evidence would you like other than General MacArthur's actions were clearly insubordinate?

Bottom line: the General was given an order, specifically from POTUS and he refused to obey. You do not need to know anything else!

Officers and Enlisted Men cannot pick and choose which orders to obey! If the orders came from a person higher in the Chain of Command, it is every soldiers job to carry out their orders, to the very best of their ability.

Once again, a soldier cannot pick and choose!

Everyone learns on the day they enter the military that everyone answers to someone. Whether you are the lowest ranking recruit or the highest ranking officer.

Like him/her or not, the person sitting on top of the Chain of Command in the United States Army is:

Yes, you guessed it, POTUS.

US Army Chain of Command follows:

The chain of command in Army basic training runs from the lowest ranking recruit all the way to the President of the United States. Simply, the Army basic training chain of command is as follows:

Recruit
Drill Sergeant
Executive Officer
Company Commander
Battalion Commander
Brigade Commander
Division Commander
Corps Commander
Army Chief of Staff
Secretary of the Army
Secretary of Defense
Commander-in-Chief (President of the United States.)

He's certainly full of enough of them to drop around, isn't he.

BTW ..

I see you just made your customary daily "pass through" of posts on threads.

Excellent observation, LLIdiot!

It is quite obvious that you have been running (and hiding) "from something."

With that "something" being ... a simple "yes" or "no" answer.

Take this you simple minded sodomite:

The Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) 809[890].ART.90 (20), makes it clear that military personnel need to obey the "lawful command of his superior officer," 891.ART.91 (2), the "lawful order of a warrant officer", 892.ART.92 (1) the "lawful general order", 892.ART.92 (2) "lawful order". In each case, military personnel have an obligation and a duty to only obey Lawful orders and indeed have an obligation to disobey Unlawful orders, including orders by the president that do not comply with the UCMJ. The moral and legal obligation is to the U.S. Constitution and not to those who would issue unlawful orders, especially if those orders are in direct violation of the Constitution and the UCMJ.

During the Iran-Contra hearings of 1987, Senator Daniel Inouye of Hawaii, a decorated World War II veteran and hero, told Lt. Col. Oliver North that North was breaking his oath when he blindly followed the commands of Ronald Reagan. As Inouye stated, "The uniform code makes it abundantly clear that it must be the Lawful orders of a superior officer. In fact it says, 'Members of the military have an obligation to disobey unlawful orders.' This principle was considered so important that we--we, the government of the United States--proposed that it be internationally applied in the Nuremberg trials." (Bill Moyers, "The Secret Government", Seven Locks Press; also in the PBS 1987 documentary, "The Secret Government: The Constitution in Crisis.")

Senator Inouye was referring to the Nuremberg trials in the post WW II era, when the U.S. tried Nazi war criminals and did not allow them to use the reason or excuse that they were only "following orders" as a defense for their war crimes which resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent men, women, and children. "In 1953, the Department of Defense adopted the principles of the Nuremberg Code as official policy" of the United States. (Hasting Center Report, March-April 1991)

If you take your "simple minded sodomite" interpretation and add a $5 bill to it, you might have enough to buy a cup of Starbucks and have a little change left over, for you to choke on.

The Chain of Command is clear and unambiguous.

The lead dog is POTUS!

The rest follow the lead dog!

When the Indians ran Buffalo over the cliff, the stupid animals followed the leader without question right over the cliff, also. Simple minded people want simple answers, just like a dumb animal. You, BigTex, are simple minded.

Haven't you learned yet? That is covered in IB-101. It doesn't even qualify as advanced tactics in IB deceit (most of which are in IB-301/302, a full year study of the biggest liar of our generation).

You're the fuckin' liar, Old-THUMPER. Anyone who cites the Matthews interview as the basis for their position is by extension also a fucking' liar, Old-THUMPER, and that includes your lying-ass, Old-THUMPER. It's been repeatedly pointed out how Matthews misrepresented WTF Cheney said, you fuckin' moronic jackass, and you cannot refute the evidence that is very evident in the full transcript that proves Matthews fuckin' lied, Old-THUMPER. Despite the obvious, you get your fuckin' pathetic little jollies by coming on here and running your fuckin' stupid big mouth to perpetuate the lie, Old-THUMPER.

You're the fucking liar, IBButtslammer! You even lie about lying! You lie about your own lies being lies. Then you attempt to lie about those lies by Grubergruber#grubering everybody with your repetitive broken record play.
When are you going on vacation? I hear the Golden Corral buffet is dedicating a men's room to you in Branson.

Actually, you're wrong. An unlawful order does not have to be carried out. What is an unlawful order? They spent a lot of time on this in boot camp. It comes down to this, you have to figure out what an unlawful order is and you may be called to account for disobeying even if you're right. Since most of my time was navy lets go with that. If an officer (with maybe the exception of the Captain of the ship) orders me to open a valve and flood a space for no apparent reason then it may be an unlawful order. If an officer orders me to kill someone one (once again, for no apparent reason) then it probably is an unlawful order. Okay, simplier stuff (for the simple people here), real example we were given; an officer orders me and any other enlisted man to wash and wax his car. That is an unlawful order. More serious stuff, if the military is called out to quell civil unrest and I am ordered to fire on civilians and this time the situation is pretty apparently bad, it may still be an unlawful order unless said order comes from someone with the authority to issue such an order.

To make this clear: there are times when you can legally refuse to follow an order so Tampon is wrong.

By the way, somewhere in there you failed to mention squad leader and platoon leader. Executive officer? That implies a second in command, who's the first? I looked at your link to see why you got things wrong. In the navy there is the recruit, directly above him (or her) is the RPO1 (Recruit Petty Officer 1st Class), above that person is the RCPO (Recruit Chief Petty Officer), then is the Company Commander (who could be a 1st class or a CPO) and the rest is unimportant because your typical recruit is never going to meet any of them.

Did someone order you to .... "go jump in The Canal"?

The above "outline" must have been published in ...

"BigTits Code of Cub Scout Justice" under Chapter 3: Thumb-sucking"

Without 20-20 hindsight, BigTits doesn't know what "unlawful" means.

The Chain of Command is clear and unambiguous.

The lead dog is POTUS!

The rest follow the lead dog!

Up to and including, General MacArthur!
