I think it's hard to ask for help in the first place. If someone is in a rough patch and honestly needs help, that's not an enviable position. There's a lot of guilt and shame that goes along with that. I think that once you help them out, they're so embarrassed, it's hard to face that person.

I got fairly involved with a provider last year. Met her kids, fixed her car, anytime she needed help I sent her what I could to help out. All went well until one day she fell off the map. We had a date scheduled, talked back and forth until I got to her place, last text she sent was "gimme a minute." Never heard from her again. I've driven to her house and even to her new incall thinking something must have happened. I was glad to help, but for her to just no show was a very poor character move. She does post here regularly but won't answer any of my pm, text, calls, ect. Obviously, she was just in it to get what she could and I know she's had a very rough go of it in life. I just smile when I see someone post a review on her, because someone else is about to get played.
( I did tell her that with all the help I'd given her that she didn't owe me anything) Why hold someone else responsible for my irresponsibly in regards to not over extending to assist someone?
The lesson is if anyone ask for help and you're willing to give it. Then do so, with the expectation that you may never see any return on that investment and if you don't, you really just have yourself to blame.
HAIL!!

I have a regular I see almost once a week here in NWA. I too have met her kids and go to her personal residence and she has been to my work place several times for business unrelated to the hobby. Help her out anyway I can. So far we have become friends but we both know business is business aslo and is seperate from us being "friends" I have never got the feeling she is or is trying to
take advantage of me. She is only 21 and very mature for her age.
If it works for you, then do it.
I'll buy this girl lunch and she doesn't expect me to pay her for her time if we are not naked. etc.....

Yeah I agree with DF, never give what your not willing to lose.
Also want to point out that this is true of everyone, not just providers.
Almost everyone who has borrowed money from me over the years becomes very scarce.
My old man use to give people he didn't like money all the time... I would tell him he was CRAZY, he would just reply... I would have paid twice that to get rid of them from my life, that was a bargain! LOL

ditto---whenever I "loan" my kids money for rent,I use that policy! And I have never been wrong..lol
I watch my money closely...It can come so easy & quickly...but can also go away just as quick!
I dont feel a need to blow my money on $1000 purses or shoes...I know how to shop and get a bargain!
I think maybe some providers need to be taught a course on money management! lol

I honestly don't understand why this happens.
As providers, we have the ability to make large amounts of money pretty much whenever we decide to. I've had situations in the past where I needed money quickly & unexpectedly for one issue or another. I post a great local special, or go on a tour, and voilà – I have $1000-$2000 by the end of each day. Problem solved.
I haven't ever asked anyone for money... Not once in six years. I haven't had to. This just sounds like shenanigans to me…
I've read many similar stories by gentleman over the years. Honestly, I wish you guys would stop doing this! We do have the ability to help ourselves... if we really want to.
@ Dallas... "We're not here to play scrabble." Lol! Love it!

We really just give the kids money because it's like a retirement plan and you hope they remember how good they had it when they become adults and we get old.....
So they'll put us in a decent nursing home.

Seems like someone told me " PROVIDING, it's the gift that keeps giving! "
Hustle means different things to different people. To some it means to work hard, fast, apply yourself.
To others it's a life style of just hustling ( defrauding)other people.
Honesty is a virtue, though people are reticent to speak it much in today's world.

Ginger in reference to the provider i'm talking about works a 8-4 job for like $9.00 per hour to get health insurance for her children. She cant see many clients. We usually meet on our lunch break for 30 minutes or so. Ive been seeing her before I even heard from eccie or p411. If she got out of the business we would still be in contact with each other.

SplitLog, my post was not a personal attack on you. I like you. & I'm sure that you and your provider friend do have a nice friendship...
What I was referring to is the, "oh, please save me" crisis pitch. It's unnecessary, especially when we are more than capable of saving ourselves.
If you guys want to "save" people, that's fine… It's your money & your call. Just don't expect to receive anything in return. Except perhaps excommunication, based on other posters experiences.

This is kind of a black and white breakdown. In the real world, there's shades of grey. You're assuming everyone is in your position. We have no idea what might be happening in someone's life or their particular set of circumstances. It's not always so cut and dry. Nobody's perfect.
PS - you haven't asked for money... yet.

The kind that loves sex, loves the rush, loves giving, loves receiving, loves exploring female bodies...... But don't fall in LOVE. IMHO
It's definitely a black and white thing. You play in the grey and you'll get your emotions involved.

No, I haven't, not in 6 years of providing. One would think if it was going to happen, it would've happened by now.
I take great pride in my independence and my ability to solve my own problems.
