Decent Hotel With No CC

I'm wondering if any of you might be aware of a decent hotel that will allow a room to be rented with no credit card. Obviously this is for privacy reasons and me not wanting certain charges showing up on my statement. I have a rendezvous set up with a non-provider and am in need of a place to play. Thanks in advance and I hope you all had a great Christmas!

I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but it may be helpful to someone.

You can use Priceline to book and pay for a room using a prepaid credit card/visa gift card, etc. then, when you check in, they will ask for a CC for incidentals. If you check out with no additional charges or you pay these charges in cash, you won't have a charge on your card.

That said...they will pre authorize your card for ~$50. This charge may show as pending online for 2-5 days, but will fall off eventually.

Some hotels will let you use a visa gift card at check-in but usually not since it doesn't have your name on it.

Good luck. I have a guy friend who I regularly get rooms for...I'm sort if his sexcapade concierge.

You can get a decent hotel for less than $50 on Priceline.

Yes and true. I get mine on Priceline also. But without a CC you can still go to the any 2 and 3 star hotel and pay cash at check-in and only use ID. They would like a CC for incidentals but if you say you don't have one, they will not turn you away. The new Palace Inns are ok and have porn on the TV, big mirrors and blue lights. Very romantic ! I may be stuck in the 70's.

La Quinta only uses your CC to hold room, it's never charged and you can pay cash. No paper trail.

Hmmmm, I book via website, do receive email receipt and promos to hobby email. Definitely nothing to my mailbox.

I've used them the past 3 years, different locations, and never had anything in mail.
Did you reserve via computer?
Always had all correspondence via email.

Maybe there's a simpler solution. If you're like 99% of us, you get CC applications in the mail almost daily. Apply for one. Use your work address for billing so your SO never sees the statement. Use this card for hobby expenses and nothing else. Banks that issue the cards (eg, Chase) have branches everywhere, so go to the drive-thru and pay the bill every month with cash so your SO doesn't see a check made out to an unfamiliar bank.

You may not have time to do this before your planned rendezvous, but it's a better long-term solution.

Hard to explain a random credit card on your credit report. Also a whorrible paper trail in the event of a messy divorce.
