Default YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anybody Else???

Curious as to whether anyone here was at the YES concert last week? I've heard them in concert 13 times now and they were as good as ever, even without Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman. I've had "And You And I" and "I Get Up, I Get Down" rattling around in my head since last Thursday night. Hell, anyone here even know who the hell I'm talking about? Guess many of you have never heard of them. Oh well, it was awesome and I just wanted to share and see if anyone else was there or is a fan.... Is that what this particular forum is for ??? lol

Been a long time since I heard a song by Yes. I generally listen to older Rock or Country music these days.

I'm a Yes fan. I have only seen them once, and that was for the 90125 tour. It was a great show. I also have the video of that tour (9012LIVE). Some of my favorite Yes tunes include all of the "Classic Yes" and "90125" albums.

I thought about that recent show, but did not attend. I'm big on original singers and lead guitarists when it comes to seeing reunited bands. Though, Trevor Rabin was a really good guitarist for a replacement member at that time.

Of course, all original line-ups are always the best to see, whenever possible. Like Aerosmith, Motley Crue, and Rush. But revamped versions of some bands still do a great job, like .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, and the Who to mention a few. Glad you liked the show. I love all that "Good Old Classic Rock & Roll Music."

Huge Yes fan. Missed them this time, but saw the 90210 tour. Great show, outdoors.

Love all of the albums that Bill Bruford played on. Also huge King Crimson fan. Saw them on the Three of a Perfect Pair tour. Now that was a show.

Steve Howe is and was amazing! By far my favorite guitarist ever.

Bruford was something special, no doubt. Alan White is pretty damned good, though; I think as a drummer I can say they are both very good. Bruford very different from the "norm", very jazzy in style. White can mimic him pretty well and still has his own style. I'm constantly amazed at both of them as some YES stuff is so very complicated with tempo changes, strange times, etc. I know I have a tough time playing along with a lot of it....

Its not YES without Jon Anderson.
That would be like seeing me band without Mick.
Got drunk with them after show in KC at the Holiday Inn across the old downtown auditorium think it was 74/5, things have gotten blurry over the years

I agree with you to an extent. Hell, I hesitated to go just for that very reason....BUT, I have heard YES in many different lineups, including UNION Tour with , I think, 11 guys on stage at one point, and every time it's been awesome. And believe me, I'm VERY picky about my music...VERY. John Davison, who "plays" Jon Anderson now has a great voice and is a fine replacement for JA....not the same, I'll grant you, but great just the same.

"me band" as you call them, IMHO, is the most overrated band ever....There, now we can really argue! lol
