Autumn, as Doove has suggested, companies can get into trouble by becoming too comfortable, and there is no need to imagine partisan politics as the culprit. Examples include Krispy Kreme and Kodak, and now Hostess Foods. Even HP might be heading in that direction.

Kodak invented the digital camera. And it killed them errr or is that still killing.
The death soon to come to kodak was by there own fear of what they invented.

And let's not forget General Motors.

Oh wait, partisan politics actually saved General Motors. Nevermind.

I do not hold Obama directly responsible for the demise of any company. I do hold him responsible for continuously making poor choices when it comes to pulling this economy out of the "shitter". Do I think that the failing economy has had an impact on these companies, such as Hostess (keeping on track)? Yes, I absolutely do.

Please go thru any of my previous posts, and feel free to quote me where I stated, "Obama is directly responsible for the closing of...".
The link doesn't count. They were not my words.

Autumn, thanks for the clarification. It is certainly "fair game" (although not necessarily "fair") for a citizen to blame a particular administration for the general state of the economy. The challenge is that it is not possible to do a control experiment to "prove" that things would be better (or worse) with a different policy under the same conditions. It is even more problematic if one tries to extend the finger-pointing down to the level of a particular company.

Carly Fiorina, Republican, drove HP into the ditch.
Wonder if Bain Capital will buy Hostess.

Making poor choices is not limited to one particular party. In this case it is my belief that Obama has made poor choices.
By the way I'm Canadian, so my opinion of American Politics is of little or no value. All Doove's arguing was in vain.

 Happy Thanksgiving ;-)
