This reminded me or a reference I sent out on behalf of a great client who asked me to. I called and left a message and emailed her. I just checked and she has not said thank you. I just made a shit list folder. Girls who can't take the time to say thank you or write out a decent request letter can suck it.

i read stuff like this all the time, because i want to be a good client and a smart customer, and understanding what the ladies deal with is a big part of that. providing/getting references is non-revenue work, but it's very important. why isn't this more obvious??

Or what gets me is I always write a very nice polite email with all details they would need, I get back "He's good" I don't expect details, but damn good at what? Makes me wonder if she read my email at all, when I get a 2 word reply He's good. That's like a half ass written review. But even less.
