I love trying new things and after my initial meeting with Bailey, I would be a fool not to be willing to try anything with her. Just my $0.02.

I am looking forward to it!!

Did anybody else buy Nuwave oven from SI? I got mine last year and love it. I use it more than my oven. I travel a lot for work and stay in motel or appt. for sometimes long periods. I take it with me, I can make almost anything in it. A lot faster than oven and healthier. Cakes, pies, bread, and other stuff I use my reg. oven, I haven't how to them yet.
I even steamed crab legs and lobster in it before. bailey.
I have to think about recipes, normally I go from memory and add what taste like is needed. ( I still have some old family recipes that say pinch of, dash of)
Parmesan sounds great.
German potatoes reminds of Pa where I grew up.(near the amish)
Desserts: more needed
Not to go off topic but
You know very few talk about food fetish: whip cream, chocolate syrup, honey, peanut butter, ice, etc.
Great thread, give me more please

No pics so I would have to be your chief, with no strings attached of course. I love to cook.
My favorite dish includes the grill - Rib eye (prefer marbling in the meat) steak, asparagus, real mashed potatoes with home made mushroom sauce or Bearnaise sauce. Now if you don't want red meat I can do fish (fish on grill needs some smoke and flounder is an awesome fish to grill or broil) or chicken. Also some shrimp or lobster or both on the grill.
I also cook red beans, chili, or red beans with chili, spaghetti and meat balls, fajitas, chicken enchiladas with verdes sauce (one of my favs). Don't forget chicken fried steak (prefer venison) with the home made mashed potatoes, peas and the awesome cream gravy (home made with flour, milk and cooking it in the same cast iron skillet that you cooked the steak in). I eat so much fish I prefer it pan fried or blackened but broiled. I also cook a good hamburger.
I do not do home made rice either Mexican or Chinese, need to practice. I also don't do bread or rolls very well.
Of course for desert would be home made apple pie and home made ice cream or blue bell (can be close to home made).
Just some suggestions. I can provide my receipts any time at no charge. LOL

Bailey, with your cooking skills and my gardening skills, we could make something special together. Add in some BCD fun before and/or after dinner, and we have the makings of a special evening. You'll be hearing rom me!

I love cooking! I agree with Bailey that the oldest kids end up inheriting the foodie gene. My step dad is from New Orleans so I grew up on Cajun foods. I love making comfort foods like shrimp and grits, gumbo...etc. Love this topic! And dinner dates are great ideas!

Brandy, a lot times that true about oldest, but my case my oldest brother and only sister can't cook that well and my middle brother and me the youngest we both love to cook.
I tried making home made ice cream, gotta admit not my best. decided to just buy best ice cream I could find at store.
Anybody got a recipe for apple crisp that doesn't require lots of brown sugar and still tastes good? I used to make apple crisp in the fall when apples came in, but very high in sugar not good for you.

Millionaire Pie is one of my favorite deserts! I would pay for one of those.
I think Bailey could corner the market offering a homemade dinner date! =)

texas, your signature's got me all confused, are we still talking about eating pie and food with bailey, or having just bailey for dinner.
