JonB hit it on the head. The dirty little secret is that the education program in NY is a scam. When half of a 1oth grade English class fails a mid term exam based on "Macbeth" because the kids can't read, you know something is wrong. Parents have abdicated their roles to the teachers and the teachers can't discipline thanks to red tape by the state. Nice picture we're painting eh?

She was hired to be a bus monitor right? Kids can typically be unruly and require a monitor when they are bused to school. This lazy, apathetic woman failed to do her job properly and was the victim of her own incompetence and poor job performance. Now she collects 600k for doing a shitty job. What a country!

Prof if ya spear the rod. you end up with shit. In the first few seconds of the u-tube i n my day bus would stop call on radio for the cops. But it looked as it started before they left the school. The bus should never had moved. driver and her should have left. went in to the school and call the parents to pickup their crap kids.

As a former school board member and officer for 13 years these bullies should be given a short term suspension from school a a well as being banned permanently from ever riding a school bus again. Make the parents responsible for getting them to and home from school.Additionally many hours of community service working for a senior service organization is warranted.

Nevertheless, meanwhile, the hundreds and hundreds of bus aides, lunch monitors, and substitute teachers who've been similarly verbally abused all throughout the years have to be kicking themselves in the butt right about now.
