I've been watching this thread since it started. The one thing that keeps popping in my head is the Jurassic Park movie quote "Life finds a way".

Men will always be horny. There will always be women interested in solving that problem. Sex won't stop happening, and the way that the transaction happens will evolve and adapt to the changing social norms, laws, and political aspirations of elected officials.

Life finds a way.

Anyone remember when you used to have to buy a "membership" at a bar/restaurant in order to drink alcohol? Life found a way.

True statement. The hobby will have to adapt, and it may not be as easy as it has been the last 20 years, but it will still be around in some form or fashion.

A felony is a felony, companies don’t care if it a misdemeanor to capital, but when they see felony you’re done when they do a background check on you.

That's how the red light cameras worked for a few years, until the Courts finally saw how ridiculous ''guilty unless you can absolutely prove you were not behind the wheel of the vehicle registered in your name'' was. Even if you could prove it, the cost and time made it prohibitive.
Truly a pain, but nobody’s life has been ruined over a civil traffic violation.

I'm closing up shop, not risking my life / career over this.

This is not the end. You will just agree to pay for her time and not for sex. Just like escorts have done for years. Watch your language when texting a provider. They need to prove that sex was in the payment arrangement. It’s all about the wording.

That is not how it works at all, SJ even had a good write up about this. If you even discuss dollar amount you're probably fucked. Don't forget that even if you can beat the charges, some places of work require you to report if you've even been arrested at all.

------------------------------------------------------

SECURITY REMINDERS!

I've practiced criminal law throughout Texas for more than 35 years. I've handled hundreds, if not thousands, of prostitution cases. I represent fuckers and fuckees. I read professional articles and published cases about prostitution. I talk to my lawyer buddies over booze, cigars, and cards about our prostitution cases. The common factor in 99.99% of arrests for prostitution is that one or both parties discussed specific sex acts or money or both. A hobbyist gets horny or a provider has rent to pay, and that leads to careless, dangerous behavior.

Eccie serves many good purposes, and one is this site should make it unnecessary for a provider and hobbyist to discuss particular sex acts or money. The Welcome Wagon, ads, and reviews should provide all the information a hobbyist needs to make a prudent jizz-inducing decision.

Ironically, some new providers post in the Welcome Wagon and omit their menu and price. I guess they think they're being sneaky and John Law will leave them alone. Providers and hobbyists post in stupid codes -- roses and money signs ($) are common -- thinking that somehow will shield them from criminal liability. Ridiculous! All that omitting menus, leaving out prices, and using codes does is create confusion that leads to dangerous, private discussions about money and sex acts.

An experienced hobbyist learns to tell the provider he wants to see: (1) his references (provider handle, phone number, and email); (2) a few days and times the provider can choose from to see him; and (3) the amount of time he wants to book. THAT'S IT. NOTHING ELSE.

When the provider and hobbyist are together, in person, money will be discreetly paid and sexual activities will take place, but there should be no discussion of money or sex beforehand. The script has already been written. Now all the players need do is act it out.

Finally, all hobbyists and providers should read the threads stickied at the top of the legal forum. The ass you save may be your own.

Yep. If someone I don’t know tries to engage me in a conversation about money or sex acts, I disengage. I doubt that strategy changes with the new law.

If you have ever been arrested, and nothing came of it.

Dont report it.

Exactly.

Dont report new places. Dont review new places. In fact, maybe no more reviews, period.

I mean, the websites wont be happy about less content, but for now, that'll have to be the norm...especially for Texas.

There is more than enough information out there for individuals to determine if a place is L1+ or not. Its not as if LEO needs the reviews, but it just helps make their job easier.

Like every area, these low-level vice crimes (AMPS) are used to shakedown information for higher crimes, and they are more or less left alone...unless there "has to be a bust" for political reasons, then they let the informants know not to go to work that day.

Sounds trite, but its true.

Dont talk about your business, or your personal identifying info with sex workers.

Has anybody considered this may in fact be a way for municipalities to confiscate property where sex based businesses are located? Real estate is becoming extremely expensive, and cities are always looking for a way to make a buck

Flights are about $550 RT to Amsterdam from DFW. JS

Also, from now on, bring a Bible to every session so if they bust you, you could say you're trying to convert the hooker to Christianity.

This. Whether it's a dependent, AMP, or even a stripper, all I discuss (written or verbal) is date, time, and duration. THAT'S IT.
