Default New adult craig's list

Well it appears Craig’s list has set up a separate adult web site.

Moderators please feel free to move this to a different section if you feel it is in the wrong place.

Although I did not check in great detail it does appear to be part of the same organization.

This is an Interesting development. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I have to believe making contacts there will be at least as dangerous as before as they are likely to quickly become a target of both LE and Scammers.

Yeah, and I'm sure the ladies on this one will be so much more reliable than the old site.

WHOIS show it to be owned by a different company.

Interestingly, they have been anticipating this for some time. Crated on May 22, 2009.

Good catch, TTH!

Of course they want to keep that estimated 36 Million in revenue that came from the erotic or adult services portion of the web site. They just don't want their "civilian" customers to think they are patronizing a company that promotes or even facilitates that sort of activity.

Makes one appreciate Gina as a "visionary" by virtue of her offshore/international hosting.

If the "Big Boys" who oppose "net neutrality" get where they are surely headed, we'll have portals that can be censored or slowed to a crawl based on the country's religious, societal or governmental "whims".

That is why we need to fight for real "Net Neutrality" -- I'm not willing to go back to "slower than phone modem speed" when accessing someone's Eccie Showcase. That would be a real "buzz-killer"!

That site IMHO has way to many TGTBT's. I'd wager a large percentage are adultfriendfinder spam or the likes.

So true. There is at least one set of photos that are of a well-known model, Allison Angel. Can you say bait & switch?

Well, I would consider CL.org has no business relations with the owners of that site. Had this been the case, the professional CL posting community would have been the third to know.

From a political standpoint, here's what I see as the real issue: Why should Craigslist adult ads be separated from other classifieds on the site? I mean, what about adult ads in newspapers and periodicals? There they are, sandwiched between real estate and free kittens for sale to all who choose to peruse. So why then was Craigslist in the spotlight? Because somebody died. Now, censorship is being moderated by our government.

If the government is censoring media channels then it might make sense to post ads only on sites that offer a dedicated adult environment with moderators.

After all, is seems as though we are facing a hypocrisy.

What happened to CL is nothing really new. When the morality police get a bug up their butt, they go after the easy targets. I remember about 25 years ago, dozens of escort ads would litter the sports section of the local Nashville newspapers. It wasn't until someone complained that the publishers decided to pull the ads. To be honest, do these people really want to fall on the sword of the 1st Amendment over ads for escorts. Sure, they probably would win, but why be made the bad guy.

I suspect we will see a bunch of knockoff websites in the coming months. It's amusing on the national news networks they keep talking about CL yet they completely overlook Backpage.

Anyone else remember when they implemented the fee policy after the first round of lawsuits; they were going to donate all the money raised from the erotic section to "charity". I guess I never read or saw an accounting of those disbursements.

Default FYI

After looking at some of the ads in more depth this site appears to be asking for trouble in a hurry.

They imply, pretty strongly, that they are part of CL. This may or may not be the actual facts. Time will tell.

If they are not than I would expect CL legal team will be after them very quick.

My opinion this is not a safe site to use. It appears to be a haven for possible scams and strong LE monitoring or worse.

craigslist, whether they made a new site or not, is dangerous. Anyone willing to use this site is setting themselves up for either disappointment or a few nights in the slammer! Be careful ladies and gentlemen! Especially when there are other alternatives (ECCIE my personal favorite) to use.

Wow ... so they want us to spam our clients on their behalf. Yeah, I don't think so.

If you do not thinck that Ellie is monitoring any of these sites you need to drinck from the fountain of reality. Ellie is here. Deal with it. Just do not admit you know DeerHunter, RatBoyJam, Htowner, or CPI3.39 and you will be fine.
