Great places to take ladies to a reasonably-priced dinner before or after playtime, AND you're making a donation to a worthwhile cause. (Of course, all donations to me go to the Irish Chihuahua Refuge. )

I noted that some of the really upscale restaurants are doing $45 dinners and donating $7 of each meal to the HFB, and some are also offering $20 lunches with $3 out of each going to the charity. Nice.

If you like trying new restaurants, August in Houston has been good to me these last couple of years.

Recently tried eleven XI. Had a great meal there.

If you had to recommend 5-10 of these restaurants, what would they be. Special or no special, I don't get out much beyond Fogo de Chao and CPK.

Definitely Christie's.. one of my favorite spots. McCormick and Schmick's, and the Derek Hotel VIN bar (the evening bartender makes great Adios Motherfuckers), and the Capitol Grill. Haven't tried too many of the others.
