Sorry to hear about this. Search and homework are always your friend as you have indicated. It's kinda tough to get reliable intel on providers in London. One somewhat decent source is Punternet. As always, due diligence and your own spidey-sense can help avoid a bad session like this, but not always. I've had pretty decent luck (and a few spectacularly great sessions) with the Eastern European agencies (hot collection, admiral, Babylon, etc). You might consider trying them in the future.
