Default Where`s the most livable city .. :-)

Hello,
Nice Articles with slight contradicting content, thank google ..!

"
Vienna, famous for its hundreds of museums, 2000 parks and of course its roasted coffee, is the best place on the planet to live, according to Mercer's 2012 Quality of Living Index. This year's latest accolade makes Vienna number one in the world for the fourth year in a row.

The annual survey by the global human resources consulting firm points not just to Austria's qualities but to much of the region's virtues. Eight of the report's top 10 cities are in Europe. Zurich is the world's second most livable city while three German cities -- Munich, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt -- follow close behind.

Overall, European cities continue to have high quality of living as a result of a combination of increased stability, rising living standards and advanced city infrastructures," said Slagin Parakatil, Senior Researcher at Mercer. This is despite economic turmoil, political tension and high unemployment in some European countries

which is then contradicted, or lets say slightly moderated, by the following article:

"Melbourne is the world’s most livable city for the second year in a row, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Livability Survey.

The top cities remained the same as last year, with a slight reshuffle in order and Australian and Canadian locations continuing to dominate.

Vienna came a close second while Canadian cities Vancouver and Toronto took third and fourth; Calgary tied with Adelaide for fifth place.

The top spots are mostly “mid-sized cities in wealthier countries with a relatively low population density,” said the EIU.

A total of 140 cities were surveyed under five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure

You just wanted to brag lol! Hey girl!

If I could pick any place in the world to live, it would be Venice. Sorry, never been to Austria, but that could change.

The Daily Star is hopelessly Eurocentric and CNN is hopelessly wrong...come on: Detroit?? I think Detroit has more violence on a bad weekend than Austin, TX has in a bad year. Detroit is collasping in on itself, the city has to physically shrink because some neighborhoods are so undesireable that they can't give the real estate away!

I have seen my previous home of Pittsburgh, PA as being one of the most livable cities in the U.S. I must agree, as long as you can get through the winters. It does seem to be one of the safest places I have been, the people are wonderful, the Fall is gorgeous there and their football team isn't to shabby either

I really love Washington D.C. and I enjoyed Philadelphia as well. I love love love Greece. I am Greek and have 90% of my family there. It is a shame what is happening over there. I lived on and off for a few years in Lamia, it is in central Greece. Great people.

I have been to D.C. 3 times now and Philedelphia only once...have yet to see Greece but my background is of four nationalities and I was adopted at a month old...(Look I ended up in Oklahoma Lol!) but was born in Washington state near Seattle.I love travelling so hopefully I can see some way more intersting places.Although I have travelled alot I still have yet to see the more lavish places.I actually had a trip in Houston Texas that felt like it was a whole different place on earth but that does not count Lol

Detroit my be a total disaster but the show "Parking Wars" is very entertaining. It shows the true nature of the citizens of Detroit.
