Taking a break

In order to avoid any speculation or back channeled gossip, I am taking a short break from ECCIE. I will still be available for appointments, this is not a break from working.

Last night, due to BS coming from this site, I came very close to throwing away 19 years of sobriety. Through 19 years I have experienced the full gamut of living - personal losses, successes, triumphs and tragedies. None of it ever pushed me to the edge of a relapse. But last night I had the drink in hand and poured, ready to throw all that hard work away.

I have loved escorting since the very first time I did it to fulfill my own fantasy, and I've loved it every day since. But when BS coming from a silly hooker message board (SHMB for those who don't know the acronym) starts to take away the joy of doing what I do, and threatens my sobriety, the sanest choice I can make is to step back and get my priorities straight.

At this moment, ECCIE is a bad place for me to be. I am liable to say things on the board that can't be walked back or recovered from. So, in the best interest of the friendships I have, and in keeping my own head straight, I am taking a break. I don't know how long, a few days, a week, however long it takes until I know my priorities are where they should be again. If the asshats want to take shots at my dignity, you are welcome to. But I won't let you take my sobriety.

If you feel this way, a very sensible decision. I think maybe this is a good idea that everyone should consider from time to time. It does get to be a pain here sometimes.

I didn't realize you had an issue and I believe you are dealing with it the best way...

Very right sweetheart. And sometimes when things are said you can't take them back. As you know SOF we as providers can't let those who are only members and arent active in the hobby on this board run us away from our love of this profession.

For all the Christmas season should be; many times it is not as joyful as we want. The season puts a lot of pressure and stress on most of us. There is nothing wrong with taking a break, or taking a trip just for yourself. It is a season where some begin to act out their aggressions. Forget all about this group, and walk away: for a short time, or a long time. It is your life, you don't have to tolerate the insanity of a few.

I'm sorry to hear this honey and I've felt the same way recently. I took a few days away from the board and have been happier for it. I've found myself addicted to this place now and again, and it can greatly impact your mind from time to time. For my sanity, I've had to "ground" myself away from the board occasionally.

I will miss your posts, but I think you've made the right decision for yourself and your sobriety, which is absolutely vital in your life! I commend you for your honesty, as well. It's not easy to admit our downfalls, and I think you're very courageous for it.

If you ever just need a friend to listen I hope that you know, without a doubt, that you can call on me.
