"no texts"?
So alot of BP providers state "no texts" in their ads ....... What's up with that?
Seems to be the most discreet means to communicate. I can text when in a meeting or with others. Are they worried about LE access to texting? Or is it pimps and "agencies" that buy cheap no text phones? Seems wierd and makes me move on to others.
What do you think?

I think it's probably cheap burner phones that don't have a full keyboard ! But texting is not discreet , you can get a print out of every text convo you have had . Which means someone with a warrant can also !

I don't think it is "weird". They probably don't want their BF to pick up their phone and see the texts.
Also, since you don't hear a voice, a text could be from a client's probing wifey...
Having said that, I really appreciate those that do allow texting, as it is easier to set something up during the business day.

When I used to post on Craigslist it saved a lot of time. Because some guys would text us and just want to talk dirty or ask for dirty pics while "trying to decide if they want an appointment". Talking to someone, setting a date and time, and hanging up is so much easier and faster when you're on bp or (used to be on) Craigslist. That's why me and some other girls did. I prefer texting nowdays because I'm usually out and about or have my kids around so it's easier for me to text.

I hate texting and a lot of guys just text, and, text it is easier to pick up the phone and conversate and I like to study the person over the phone and find out if we have a good communication. I dont like emails neither I have had guys who email their ass off and I think its a waste of time, I prefer you just to call and ask me any questions you may have. Texting and emails do have paper trail and dont need for a SO to find texts and emails then possible have them blow up my ph, and yes LE could use these against us also.

Thats my big point..
Women are scandalous..and smart.
I need to hear your voice at least once...
And although I do allow texting,I just dont like it..even in my personal life.
I wasnt part of that generation I guess...although who knows which generation that is cause my older sister loves to text.
As does my younger niece.
Oh well.....
Text me,just realize that Im not nearly as witty via text and you lose out on hearing my sexy voice..

Or it could be a 14 year old boy! I hate texting and it's stated right on my website " I don't text". I too want to hear the persons voice and tone so I can have an idea of what to expect. How they speak to me is very important as well, I want to make sure that they are respectful and can speak full sentences. Talking on the phone and having face to face conversations is going by the wayside unfortunately with all of the technology that is available today. I like to keep things as old school as possible and if you can't speak on the phone with me during screening then I'll have to pass on meeting with you.
Plus texting and driving deaths have surpassed drinking and driving deaths. There is no message that is so important that you can't wait to pull over safely and check it! So many folks think that their SO important that they have to check their messages right then and there! If they just put the phone down and paid attention while driving their messages would accrue and once they arrived at their destination safely they could check them all at once and feel ever so popular!
My point being "Don't Text and Drive Arrive Alive!"
This is my soapbox and I'm not getting off of it!

Texting is OK if you are sneaking around, are a 15 yo kid or you simply cannot talk openly in front of someone. But if you are "working" there should be no reason why you simply cannot TALK on the phone. Texting is DANGEROUS while driving, yet some people insist on texting me while I'm on a crowded freeway but when I try to phone they won't answer. And......anyone who uses a phone for talk or text on MY time will never see me again.

Or someone that has screaming kids in the background. I always appreciate when a client texts me asking if he can call. That way I can find somewhere quiet away from anyone and my kids.

I'll have to disagree. You are always witty... even when texting.

Well, at the moment I have a "text only" number. Texting is easier for me, plus I hate talking on the phone. (I have kids as well). And sometimes I have people around that I can't "talk" in front of.
Also, many people off backpage that have contacted me do the same thing you are talking about Malaya...they want "naughty" pictures or want you to give them details on what may or may not happen during your time with them. While I'm not the type of girl to be short in texts or conversations...I also don't like to talk FOREVER. That is what spending time with me is all about ("getting to know one another"). It is SO annoying when guys text OR call just to have "naughty" conversations with you. Please understand our time is valuable.

Great points on both sides of this issue.
I, too, prefer to talk to someone or better yet meet them face to face; but as others have explained texting has its advantages as well.
And a big salute!
To those who warn of texting while driving.
