I had some business in Topeka today. Had seen her earlier review and texted her to check her availability. To my surprise she responded and after some texting back and forth, we set a time for 1:30. I got to the area we were going to meet at 1:25, texted her and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Texted her 2 more times and finally said I was moving on. Have not heard a thing from her since.

Feel sorry for you wasting your time, BUT, I dont get this common practice of notifying a girl is a NCNS. If you have been in the hobby for anytime, at one point in time your going to get NCNS, bait and switch, odor problems, aunt Flo, and many other things. It's part of the game, those are the rules.

Its like playing poker, your just going to get sucked out on the river! No reason to bitch or hate the game!

Thanks for the heads up, while its true, problems are inevitable, its good to denote who the problem was, so if there is a pattern, you can find it in a thread search.

Its a business review, just like any other.

I don't like if I have to miss an appointment and if a lady has to cancel, I am totally down. I might have todo it some time. I just would hope the lady, and I know that I would have the courtesy to call and cancel. It is the right thing to do.

Actually I play quite a bit of poker. yes, often your opponent makes his hand on the river with cards that most would agree should not be played. But, 95% of poker players bitch about it.

You are incorrect Sir, those are not the rules. This is a business transaction. Yes, those things happen, but just because we enjoy this hobby, does not mean that we should have to put up with crap like NC/NS, bait and switch, bad hygiene, etc. When you go into a restaurant, or clothing store, we all expect a certain level of service. If we do not receive it, then we go somewhere else that does provide the level of service and professionalism that we as consumers want. The same thing holds true for the hobby. If guys do not get the level of service and professionalism that they expect from a Lady, then they go to another provider who will.

Lol business transaction you say! You do realize you are meeting someone selling there body. Some women are ethical, just like some men are too! BUT this is not your typical business transaction. You are dealing with emotions and a person, those things are never good in a business transaction. I expect every woman I meet to be professional, but get real! You are naive if you think that professionalism is installed in every provider out there.

Yes you can be picky, read all the reviews, do your homework and HOPEFULLY get a your expected result in service. I wish you luck and place your standards on EVERY provider and get pissed when that don't meet that lofty goal of yours!

Oh and place a complaint with the BBB service or your local ECCIE web page!

You can pick whatever rationalization you want, Darkside, but if you think even in these circumstances that is an acceptable or tolerable outcome, then you are a total wuss and can look forward to repeatedly being walked over and pissed upon. The point of putting this kind of thing out there is to instill some economic pressure or sanction, if you will, or in the least, a warning so people fall prey to this as little as possible. No one said it wouldn't happen, but our time is valuable, too. It happens enough in routine dating, but it is also an indicator of a low quality person as well. Operate under one if the principles of the Code if Dumb Bitchery if you want, but the rest of us have expectations and they are not inappropriate. Common courtesy dictates that much. There are a lot of providers who have observed those rules of common courtesy to a fault and stand by them and they deserve to be elevated in stature when it is time to make a choice. That is done when the record of attendance to business is known.

IMO I believe that you should try to reach the provider for about 24 hrs after the scheduled appt and give her an opportunity to make it up...

Somthing could have happened like an accident or something

If she doesnt step up then i think its fine that the NCNS post should happen...

Once the NCNS is posted and if she responds with the excuse or reason...and offers a makeup...that followup with the provider making things right should be posted by OP

Lol, Bart, if you read the comment, I never said it is an acceptable or tolerable, BUT IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE HOBBY IT WILL HAPPEN! Bitching about it and complaining aint going to do shit about it!

The only outcome from it will be a he said she said and trying to find out the truth! But go ahead Bart speak of how it should operate and place your trust in that you will never get burned!

Oh and don't travel outside the country, that great perception or radar you have on performance never fails!

Can someone give me the term used for someone who comes to the defense of providers actions and is willing to shed all pretenses of the vast knowledge of the hobby in doing so.

That is because you've not been around long enough. You'll learn by asking questions, remaining calm and not being beligerent. The experienced, wise members will help educate you, but it takes time.

This is a business transaction to a point. Of course there's going to be some type of feelings that develope over time especially if they're regulars. But, if we both hobbyists and providers don't keep all of this in perspective, it would considered an affair, she would become your mistress and she'd be fucking you for free. Then your real problems start.

There's a couple reasons why there should posts about NCNS's:

1. It shows a history if there is one. Then guys can decide if they still want to take a chance on her. If they do, they know damn well what they're getting into.

2. It gives the lady in question a chance to change her ways. It wouldn't be the first time that a lady saw a thread about herself and decided to change for the better. I've seen it happen on here and guys were thrilled that she owned her mistakes and asked for feedback.

Its true, in the hobby world you are going to come across NCNS's, B n' S, etc., but threads like this will keep guys from making mistakes and hopefully help providers change their ways.
