pyramider, being from the south originally and coming up here I agree that one can get damn good bbq down south but I'm telling you son the Dinosaur makes damn good sauce and their ribs and pulled pork are right up there with the Jack’s Bar-B-Que in Memphis, The Pit in Raleigh, or Wila Mays outside of Atlanta. Now in New Orleans we talking about a totally different type of creole bbq
But up here Dinosaur rules

Limiting yourself to one BBQ sauce is like limiting yourself to one woman. Different moods (and different meats / no pun intended) require different sauces. I've TOFTT here and have spend $$$ looking for the best.
If you crave a traditional tomato based BBQ sauce, smoky, not too sweet try Sonny Bryans of DFW or Burns BBQ of Houston.
Those of you with a sweet tooth should lean towards a molasses based sauce, try Blues Hog "original" BBQ sauce from Missouri add a little heat with Blues Hog "Tennessee Red".
For a the perfect, tangy honey mustard BBQ sauce use Sam Dillards from Durham NC.
My local choice would be Uncle Ralphs Texas Twister Magic Sauce.
Of course this is just my opinion, everyone has different tastes, their tongues enjoy different things... but, I smoke over #200 of meat every year (once again no pun intended) and I've never had a complaint from friends and or family.
Happy Holidays! oh, and all these sauces can be found online, my fav store is thekansascitybbqstoredotcom
