Ladies checking Requests and ISOs?

Question for the ladies: Do you ever read the Requests and ISOs forum?

Currently, most of the posts here in KC are from guys asking for information on new or traveling ladies. But looking at other cities (like Dallas) I see that the more common use is for guys to post a description of what they are looking for and ladies respond saying if they are available and willing. Some of the ISOs can be very specific (and hilarious).

Now, I understand that Dallas is a different environment, where there is way more competition than here in KC. But would this be a good place to post such a request, or would it get missed by the ladies? We'd have to make it worth checking that board, if they don't bother to currently.

Yup, I check it from time to time. If a gent is asking about something that I fit the bill for, I generally send him a PM in response.

I used to check it often (the ISO forum) and I replied from time to time, but then there was the whole cock-blocking comment that was made in ROS (ROS=BCD for all you ASPD transplants) regarding ladies that post in that forum, and well, it just wasn't worth it . . . And, IMHO, it still isn't.

BTW, the comment that was made ROS has been widely discussed in both open (and closed, private) forums here on ECCIE, it isn't privileged information (at least not any longer, and in fact, I think a lady may have even got a vacation for mentioning it in the past - or at least she was threatened with one), and no, I don't know, nor do I care, how it or why it was leaked from the men's lounge. But, it was.

Many other ladies that previously offered their opinion or assisted in the ISO's from time to time stopped all-together after that, for others it was a gradual decline to nothing . . . and frankly, no one (none of the local ladies) had or has any intention of cock-blocking anyone, IMO. Now I sit back and read the ISO forum occasionally for comic relief. I could post and share good info and intel on quite a few requests from time to time, but damn if I want to be subject to the wrath I may incur in the men's lounge by offering my opinion (or facts). So, I PM the OP instead when warranted, and sit on my hands.

As for requests such as those that are made in other city specific forums, several have tried here from time to time, only to be quacked for being a cop or ignored and left wanting (and dissatisfied with the lack of replies - and perhaps also, a little pissed that no one even bothered to reply). I don't know if it would work in KC as it does in larger metropolitan areas. If you can get enough interest though Q, and ladies will look and respond, it may be worth a try. I do believe however, that the gentleman making the request need be someone with a strong board presence or he's bound to only hear the chirping of crickets.

Ditto what Jackie said. I'll help the guys out in Omaha because they truly appreciate it and never accuse me of cockblocking unlike what happened in KC (common knowledge in the open as Jackie said).

So, as I may read the ISO's for KC, I hardly ever respond to them. I never understood how I could cockblock in KC from Omaha considering I visit about 4 times a year. LOL

I don't recall the great cock-blocking controversy, nor do I understand it. I was thinking of a situation where a guy posts "Looking for a brunette with large naturals who does BBBJ and is available for incall on Saturday afternoon." Any ladies who thought they matched could respond with a PM or a post. In Dallas the responses seem to be public ("I'm available." "Pick me!" "I have a brunette wig, is that good enough?") but that's not a requirement.

I totally understand that this kind of activity (basically a reverse ad) requires a critical mass of both providers and customers to work. Honestly I don't think it *could* work here in KC, but I wish it would. Unfortunately, this community is so small that we'd find the same few names coming up every time a request was made. Also, there aren't enough guys looking for specific requests to justify the time it would take for the ladies to pay attention.

It is great that some of the ladies check the ISO board occasionally. Maybe it will encourage guys to post when they want some specific type, or fantasy, or activity.

The explanation/reference to the great cock-blocking debacle was made only to give a bit of background as to why a lot of ladies shy away from ISO in KC (at least from posting there, although they may read it). If you don't understand it or remember it, then that's great, but many here do I am sure - however, it would be nice if it had faded from memory, it was a complete bullshit postulate.

I agree with you that KC is too small; I also think it may be too suspicious, as I mentioned in my previous posting . . .

And yes, I'm mended and the suv will be back in my hot lil hands tomorrow. I'm trying to talk the state of Iowa into allowing a name plaque to be put on mile marker 102 once my insurance co. pays them for me taking it out. Taking out not 1, but 2 markers does some damage.

Aww, thanks Staci. What sucks is that I had a fender bender on Monday which kept me from making my KC trip and then I get my baby back, decide to go up to Sioux City to work and on my way back....snow + slick spot = Elena taking out two mile markers and sliding into a ditch. It was a crappy and scary time. But, I didn't hit anyone nor was I seriously hurt, so I'm very happy.
