Why does all news about this administration have to sound like it comes from North Korea?

The more you consolidate power, the more responsibility you take on yourself, the less you can deny it.

Seems like this is like everything else wrong in America. Good programs and ideas encounter problems that are obvious and the can is kicked down the road for a later date. Greed, graft, and nepotism creep in, and the problem festers. It grows to the point that it is easier to close an entire division and start clean rather than trying to untangle a mess. Just like Christmas lights. I am commenting from a fiscal view point, not a ideological viewpoint.

It's not. These "views" that it is easier to close down an entire entity rather than try to reform/improve it come from two angles:
The first is that there are a shit ton of people who thrive on destruction and chaos. They are so vindictive in their anger and frustration that they are willing to hurt anyone to encourage more of it. Even themselves.
Do not underestimate how widespread that is.
The second is the blind adherence to the brainwashed ideology that "woke" assholes have destroyed our society, and they are sold on the idea that Trump et al are the only people that can rescue us from it.
Both groups give their unquestioning fealty to Trump, will support anything that he tells them that they need to support, and will overlook any number of illegal and unconstitutional actions by him and his administration.
They have not thought this through. They will scream in your face that they "love this country" and are trying to "save it." All while they allow power to consolidate in a way that undermines the very ideals that this country was founded on. And while naively assuming that they are somehow protected from this by their fealty... that this will not turn on them.
They have been lied to so thoroughly and so frequently that they are now committed.
And they are enabling a group that is attempting to game the system so completely that we may never be rid of this, may never be able to fix the damage.
We are well and truly fucked.

Just waiting for the standard Trump 2 Weeks- then they will have it all ironed out. Just like ending wars, dropping prices, getting tariffs signed and moving the concepts of healthcare ideas, into a real plan. (two weeks that turns into 4 yrs. or more)

I don't understand why people are against cutting down a bloated federal government. Around 3 million people are federal government workers. Do you really think they are all necessary?

Actually I do. Three million is less than one percent of the total population of the United States. That doesn’t sound bloated to me. People underestimate how large the US actually is and how many people are being served by the federal government.

Yet Bill Clinton axed 377,000 federal employees. Without a peep. And no "disruption" of any services. The federal government is bloated and needs to be reduced. Far too many of these people can't even state what their "job" actually is. Meaning it's non-essential.

Then add in all of the State, County, and city governments.

Which have absolutely ZERO impact on you outside of your State, County and city. So what's your point?

I’m sure that the government could be more efficient. I’m sure that job cuts could be beneficial. But the way Musk and Trump have savaged the government will ultimately be extremely detrimental in the long run.
P. S. Bill Clinton did streamline the government including cutting entire departments. However much of that was replaced by private contractors.

It's funny how the left defends bloated federal gumment...It's like President Reagan said... the federal gumment is bloated and spends way too much money. Any time that we try and stop this out of control bureaucracy the left screams like stuck pigs!!
They worship big gumment...our founding father won't believe how out of control it has become.
