Default Texas THC ban

So long smoke shops. Looks like they are signing a full ban on all THC products.

I have no dog in this fight, but I've always found it peculiar how the state of Texas has this intense obsession with stomping out any harmless thing people may wish to enjoy

We got a lot of private prisons that need bodies.

Fucking Repubs cannot get out of their own goddamn way. Legalize it. Tax it. Eliminate personal property taxes and tolls with the windfalls. Win elections until forever.

Even states like Oklahoma and Nebraska which on paper (due to demographics) should be far more "fundamentalist" so to speak, than Texas, are much more lenient on most victimless "crimes" legislation

And give up all of those sweet sweet campaign contributions from the tobacco and alcohol industry?

What I found weird is that Texas supposed to be deep republican state where their moto should be focus on personal freedom and small government but it sure does not sound like it so far

The Texas Republican Party-- government so small, it fits in your bong. (Disclaimer-- I am, of course, talking about a harmless water pipe that can be used to smoke tobacco-- no drug reference is inferred).

The problem is the Republican party is corrupt. Just like casino gambling failing, weed being legalized is up in smoke. Why? Who loses money in Texas if weed is legalized? The booze industry, Big Pharma, paper industry, cotton, etc.

Ever notice how the legislature does not allow citizens of Texas to vote on big things? They know they would get trounced.

The Republican party in Texas is owned by big bidness and Christian nationalists who want to stick their noses in everyone's business despite their claims of supporting freedom. And people fall for the ruse because of cultural issues like transgender fears instead of seeing that GOP policies threaten the economic well-being of the middle class and poor people.
