Default Tax plan appears to be written by a rich kindergarten class

Just have to say the big beautiful tax deal is big and beautiful for once again the people who don’t need nor deserve the rich giveaways plus the obvious costs go back sticking it to the middle class.

I had some higher hope that Trump wouldn’t yield to the rich republican politicians and corporations when he said he was for upping the tax rate on the top earners (def not a huge increase at that), also taking away the cap gain carryover loophole which doesn’t do anything but enrich hedge funds. I also had some misguided hope that he’d actually play hard ball w ultimatum w pharmaceuticals and medical device firms where the USA wouldn’t pay a penny over swedens cost (I believe they are the cheapest now). Now I realize pharmaceuticals are the largest bribery, I mean political donors legally and ill morally (never forget when 4 pharmaceuticals paid Hillary Clinton over 12 mil to speak to employees for under an hour each place, sure it’s a consultation fee legally but don’t fool yourself, it’s a bribe.

If Trump would have done these 3 things, he could easily balance the budget w his promises included w out gutting social programs. There’s not a reason in world the US pays double to 3/4 times what the rest of the world pays for meds plus add all the middle men involved w healthcare and that’s a true issue.

It takes a guy to say FU to lobbyists and do the right thing, I’m a proponent of a work / volunteer requirement for benefits for able bodied adults but also a proponent of raising the income guidelines to keep Medicaid. The current system penalizes you for taking a job because of the bloated costs of bad healthcare plans, the savings from playing by hardball w pharmaceuticals and med devices will more than pay any increased Medicaid recipients who’s income is under? 60-100k in that area. Incentivize work, spending as free spendable money by the people who need things along w building a healthy labor market that doesn’t need 25 per hour to just live on as they’d still have healthcare.

just my piece but this tax bill is and will kill the dollar, raise rates greatly, w tariffs comes inflation and this will hit the low to middle class harder than anyone else.

Trump over the years has advocated spend 100 to grab 10 more in sales, hence all the Bankruptcies over his life and this beautiful tax bill reeks of this approach

MAGA loves lying to themselves about this guy. But hey, their bank accounts will soon start telling them the truth, whether they like it or not.

Then, they'll all have a decision to make: keep paying more money for less shit while praising Dear Leader, or finally waking up to the objective reality that he has never cared about them, at all, for even a minute of his life.

USA needs someone who has the nuts to make things right. The rich will cry and the poor prob will too but the middle will embrace it.

No reason in the world we pay over double what Canada pays for medical products (bribery alone imo). Sweden pays almost 70 percent less, imagine the savings in our healthcare costs by enforcing cost controls as again no reason we pay over triple what Sweden pays except for lobbyist and bribery. The answer to balancing the budget isn’t kicking everyone off Medicare, it’s about politicians taking their medicine and playing hardball w the industry like almost every other dev country has.

The income disparity is appalling in USA w politicians just giving away free money to the rich at the cost of our fed deficit which is weighed vs everyone. The rich deserve everything they’ve earned but this Reagan trickle down approach which was a breathe of fresh air has run its course, monies given away to the rich end up in market, corp giveaways go to stock buybacks and big bonuses and not to actual economic growth initiatives, the reason GDP growth was so healthy out of covid was the free monies to everyone, not just the rich and people who actually needed to buy things used the money for economic purchases, not market purchases the rich make.

Again, able bodied adults should have to work/volunteer to receive the benefits but IMO, that threshold of losing benefits should be raised in a big way. You’d have alot of people who never paid taxes nor have spending money all of a sudden having some to purchase products adding to TRUE GDP growth, corp make more money the old fashioned way, by selling products instead of relying on govt freebee giveaways on lower taxes, add to the fact people would take jobs under 20-25 an hour because they still have insurance, the USA system of (the dems started this and still push this w big govt) de incentiving work as you’re worse off by taking a job needs fixed. It’s truly an embarrassment IMO for this country.

... Ok, mates - no need for a barney... Just FACTS!

President Trump didn't write the tax plan, Nomad.

If you have issue - them blame the blokes in Congress.
And the liberal media.

You’re the one who posted the snarky headline. As they say it takes one to know one. So quit whimpering. And you fall for the tired bullshit mantra from the Dems that only billionaires will benefit from tax cuts. Who knew Bezos, Gates, Musk and Buffet worked for tips!!!!!!!

But carry on with your cut and paste twaddle.

The problem is not that tax cuts only go to the rich but rather most of the tax benefits are for the richest amongst us and they consistently add to the deficit.

The last balanced budget was under Clinton and a lot of that was because Bush Sr. and Clinton both had the balls to raise taxes.

It doesn’t take balls to raise taxes. It takes balls to cut spending and LOWER taxes. Revenue isnt the problem, spending is.

They are both contributing to the same problem.

The last great compromise was in 86 under Reagan. Tax rates were lowered while at the same time tax loopholes were closed. Wouldn’t it be great if we could cooperate on our revenue problems and produce some real tax reform.

the tax cuts don't only go to the rich. the largest percentage decrease went to the middle class for both Reagan and Trump's tax cuts. Clinton only had a balanced budget because of Newt Gingrich and Republican control of Congress. the Clinton surplus did little overall to reduce the debt.

Newt Gingrich couldn't get a job as a staffer in the far-right MAGA clown car.

Today's GOP is the very definition of Big Government. trump's idiotic tax bill is set to add $4 trillion to the debt. After adding $7 trillion in his first term.

MAGA has no business calling themselves fiscally responsible. It's all one gigantic grift.
