I liked his character in Cape Fear. He underestimated Max Cady but so did everyone else in the movie.
Walking Tall (the original) was quite powerful when it came out.

I prefer the original 1962 version.

I've heard that it was very good, I will put that on my list. stars Robert Mitchum who is in both movies. "I don't know whether to look at him or read him."
