“From the start, it accepted women as members. Black members, however, would be shut out at Oakmont and Pittsburgh’s other elite country clubs for decades to come. The first Black members at Oakmont, attorney Eric W. and Cecile Springer of Squirrel Hill, were not admitted until 1991 (It now welcomes members of all races, genders, sexual orientations and religious backgrounds).”
Oakmont was the first golf course to be deemed a National Historic Landmark in 1987.

Great! Go watch some flies fuck. Millions of people around the world will watch the US Open. One of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. And Oakmont is one of the best US Open venues. It’s hosted more than any other course. It’s right here in Pittsburgh.

Google says there are at least 72 "genders".
Unless Oakmont can prove its membership includes at least one of each, then it must be discriminating on the basis of "gender". Sue them!

I guess some genders would rather watch flies fuck than play golf. The members I know there prefer to play on one of the greatest golf courses in the world. I’ve played with folks from different cultures there. It’s really not a stuffy place. Others are far worse. Oakmont had black members before St Clair or Fox Chapel.
Play is underway on Saturday, nobodies tearing it up even though it’s wet.

Oakmont has knee-capped the top 10 in the world through two rounds, who are a combined 70 over par. Day two was full of comical, and not so comical, temper tantrums and mental meltdowns. The defending champion missed the cut, Scottie Scheffler missed a lot of fairways and greens and Rory’s most solid strike was a tee-marker. Which gives us a very bizarre leaderboard heading into the weekend of the US Open. Nonetheless, Oakmont and the US Open will make a star of somebody come Sunday evening.

Well, after 3 rounds 4 players under par. Spaun is playing exceptionally well. I don’t think he’ll win. I’m pulling for Adam Scott. He’s the oldest under par, but the best swing and a Masters champion. We shall see.

Well, everyone is over par with the back nine in play. I’m rooting for Scott. Great guy.

Yeah, Spaun bogied 5 of the first 6 holes. I thought he was toast, to his credit, he hung tough. Incredible performance
