3 Maryland counties want to secede to West Virginia

This isn’t the first time. In 2020 counties in Virginia wanted to do the same thing. People are getting tired of blue state tyranny.

Wouldn't be the first time. This is how West Virginia came to be. Some territory in Maine, Delaware, and Pennsylvania moved to other states in the past.

You realize it won’t happen firstly. And I lived in MD for a decade and the 3 counties wanting to move would be in for a rude awakening when they move from the wealthy MD to the quite poor WV. In fact Washington Co is very poor and nearly a backwater compared to the rest of MD. At least they have mountains and an outlet there so some areas are pretty but it’s full of rubes and junkies so it won’t hurt MD at all.
