Default The Masters shines!!!!

At a time when major sports leagues are catering to woke culture, Augusta National was all about sports and competition. They brought people from all races together to enjoy great golf at a great venue. A Japanese women won the masters amateur tournament last week. Lee Elder, the first black man to play there, was honored with the ceremonial opening tee shot with Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. Today, Hideki Matsiyama became Japans first male golfer to win a major. All around good stuff. Something to cheer about. It brought people together instead of tearing them apart.

Kinda the opposite of the Georgia legislators, and the voting law they recently passed.

Colorado’s voting laws are more restrictive. Denver is a predominantly white city. MLB and you should be ashamed for accepting the Allstar game.

States across the Nation are making voting more secure! You should be applauding that!

Yes, the Georgia law pissed off Progressive Democrats because they falsely believe it will repress voting. And it pissed off Trump, because he thinks it does nothing to prevent voter fraud. So I guess it tore people apart

The only possibly objectionable provision IMHO was taking away some of the power from the Secretary of State and putting it in the hands of the legislature. Given that you have an honest, reasonable Secretary of State who does his job well, maybe that doesn't seem like a good move. But what if some nut case like Lin Wood runs for Secretary of State and wins? Then you're better off with the legislature pulling the strings.

Finally, we agree!!! It was about golf and competition. With people from around the globe. Men and Women. The payed homage to a black golfer. The Jackie Robinson of golf. The way sports should be. Bring people together for something positive.

I actually had a dream

a harbinger of the final days of America

It went something like this....the end of America came with riotous crowds storming past a few security guards at augusta national

they burned down butler cabin, tagged the hogan bridge, took chain saws to the azaleas and dogwood and formed independent chaz autonomous zones on various greens

their waste filled rae's creek

the greens and fairways were worn of grass. with rain, mud, mixed with paper and discarded odds and ends and with t-shirts or a mud-slimed pair of pants and a shoe or two, was everywhere. now and again the sleeve of a green jacket could be discerned by its buttons partially revealed in the dark muck

and soon they stood against each other and the different autonomous zones devolved into separate warring camps

MLB was to honor the great Hank Aaron at the Allstar game in Atlanta. Where he played. Much like Augusta honored Elder. I wonder if they plan to honor him in Denver? Wouldn’t that be a real kick in the balls. But hey, he’s dead now.

A great moment for Japanese golfers. They have had many great players over the years, but I believe this is the 1st major championship by a Japanese golfer. I remember 1 now on the senior tour. After a while, when nobody has gotten a major, people begin to wonder why not, and it becomes a topic in itself.

A little weird this breakthrough happens at the Masters......what is or was the epitome of the while male businessman buddy club, with restricted membership and all that.

It is only golf itself and the love of the game that overcomes everything.
