Hot, humid and miserable (generally..although the way the weather has been this year, who the hell knows...it might snow!)
But thankfully, we all have A/C, so you can come indoors to cool down, only to have us all heat ya right back up!
Since you are from texas, you should be used to the heat though.

Texas is not near as humid as here so the heat does not feel as bad. From another southern lady. tee hee.
Babe it is hot and humid here (to me) all freakin summer. Doesn't cool down here for being outdoors til sometime in Sept. But hope the heat does not stop you from coming. Can't wait to see you. As I am sure there are some guys that I know feel the same.

She lives in Nawlins' though. Which, as far south as it is, is probably just as hot, humid, and miserable (Hell, Memphis ain't as far south as Nawlins and it's pretty hot, humid, and miserable in August).
However, as hot, humid, and miserable the Gateway City is in August, let me tell you from personal experience: if you're a member of the St. Louis Diaspora, you still miss it. Lots.
Cheers,

ISTR that Dallas took her name from her Texas nativity. Or at least her time living there if she's not a native.
As for that country called Texas... My daughter's living in "Hell Paso" (her husband's stationed at Fort Bliss right now), and her response to Gov. Perry's suggestion that the state secede from the Union again was basically "Yes, and please don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out." She is very much looking forward to seeing Texas in the rear view mirror (or if she gets her wish, underneath her as the plane flies them to a duty station somewhere in Asia)...
Personally, my only experience of Texas was San Antonio in late May. My recollection was that the temperature was somewhere around the melting point of lead, but the Riverwalk was the most wonderful thing I've ever experienced in any city, anywhere, and totally made up for the oppressive heat. (The other saving grace was all the hot Latinas coming out of the woodwork. And I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are for rent, even. ) If I can consider going on hiatus from the hobby (again) long enough to save up for it, I'm seriously considering booking a favorite lady for an entire weekend, taking her to San Antonio, and spending the whole weekend bouncing between our hotel room and the Riverwalk... Once I cross that off the "to do" list I think I can retire with a smile on my face. Won't have enough money to retire, but the memory will keep me happy as I make my home under the overpass....
Cheers,
bcg

Dallas,
August is usually worse in the first half of the month. If you make it through the summer in New Orleans you will be fine here. Just make sure you let us know when you are coming. I plan on eating my wheaties.
