It appears Avenatti is being investigated by the California State Bar for conduct related to business dealings involving a defunct coffee shop chain.

Looking at his reviews of clients on lawyer review sites - his approval ratings are abysmal.
The Cal State Bar may well look at his representation of Stephanie Clifford - aka Stormy Daniels - Avenatti can't even use his client's proper name.

If the Cal State Bar gets involved - might be interesting as to disbarment.

Oh Stormy got herself into a mess. She and her husband are named in a police report for alleged threats and homophobic slurs. They threatened the gay men who managed her online store. Stormy is accusing them off stealing $25.000 from her. The men received threatening messages from Stormy's husband. The report was made in Santa Barbara last evening.
