Default IT Returns

Anybody seen the new "IT" movie? I remember as a kid watching it(the original) and it scared me shitless.

I think what you may have seen as a kid was not a movie but a 3 part mini-series.
But I could be wrong.

TBone sadly you're mistaken. There was a movie, check my link.

I researched it a bit more. There's a movie, a novel, and a mini-series. Therefore, you're partially correct

All the excitement over the new movie got me interested in the book. I've been reading "It" the last few days.

Stephen King books and movies are overrated. The only ones that were OK were Salem's Lot and Silver Bullet because both had traditional or iconic horror genre characters. In other words, King retold old horror stories.

Curry is a much better Pennywise because he brought comedy to an evil role similar to Peter Sellers in Lolita. The new version is just gorier and had more CGI effects. You can watch the original mini-series by yourself and really get into. This cannot be said about the new version.

Long. 1138 pages. I am only about 150 pages in but so far so good. I didn't watch the movie or mini series so everything outside of what happened to Georgie was new to me. It has pulled me in.

The new Pennywise looks too evil. Who in the right mind would take a balloon or paper boat from him?

There is an original "IT"

here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/st...it/id658825811

The movie was good but not as scary as I expected.
