Default Mechanic?

I have been in auto industry for a LONG time.. But, I am far from mechanically inclined! Was wondering if anyone knew of an affordable mechanic for brakes.. I really noticed it today, thank god its not a Toyota though! phew!

Thanks!

You really don't have to spend much money on brakes if all you need are pads. If you haven't damaged the rotors you can just replace the pads without turning the rotors and be on your way cheaply. Almost all shops want to turn the rotors ( is the best) because they make more $$$'S . It'll take a little longer for the pads to seat, but they will work fine and probably save you a $100 or more.

Depends on what's wrong with the brakes. Quite easy to do rotors, drums, pads, shoes by yourself. I generally buy the parts and take it to my mechanic. He charges $55 for a pair of rotor/pad or shoe/drum replacement.
