So let's review. This woman was on the way to a job interview, stoned.
She gets pulled over, and because she was high as a kite, gave the officer a hellacious time. She ended up in jail.
She languished in jail because nobody in her Familly thought she was worth the $500 bond it would take to spring her.
She hangs herself with a garbage bag.
Her Familly, who didn't give a shit about her before, collects millions.
Ain't America great.

Apparently they believe in the motto "Money Talks and Bullshit walks" and black lives really don't matter when you get a good settlement, lol. America is a great country. too bad the majority of the people in it are nothing but trash. The Bland family proved that.

I am not seeing under what legal theory Waller County is responsible for Sandra's death. Although they settled out of court, it is not demonstrated how Waller County are even partially responsible. Supposedly they will have an "automated system" so that a human is notified to check on prisoners hourly. Waller Country Jail also agrees to have a nurse on premises 24 hours a day.
My only "clue" about this is Waller County contains Prairie View A&M and the DA "can't pick a jury."
Meanwhile, the officer who arrested Bland is up against a perjury charge, won't be tried until Jan 2017, almost a year after the Grand Jury recommended "indictment."
