Default Obama is for the TPP deal

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/0...eal-tpp-227038

looks like Obama is going to push for the TPP deal this year. He says TPP is good for America.

will this hurt or help Mrs. Hillary "short circuit" Clinton????

Congress: will TPP pass or go down in flames???

obama has commented that he had about 10 democrats against it and was able to reduce it to 7 against. he intends to make a major push for it.

publicly, there is alot of oppposition to it.

I do not see how this helps Clinton.

Obama is trying to burnish bis legacy and thats in conflict with Clinton's candidacy for president.

Obama wants us to pass it, but won't let us read it. That's bullshit.

You guys didn't look too hard.
How can you be against it when you haven't read it? This website has been there since 2015.
Ps Is the dumb ass congressman up for reelection?
Had to go to a foreign country website to read it?
And you guys believe that? Not the part about reading it there. The part about that being the only place it could be found.

the TPP deal was finalized in February 2016.

prior to the posting of the TPP in November 2015 on a US state dept. website, one could only read the TPP in a secure room under the watch full eyes of the state dept. staff. cameras & notebooks were not permitted. TPP was never made public before November 2015.

Given that it's 5000 pages long, there won't be many mongers or Congressmen that read it. You've got a point, people are against it when they really don't know whether it will be good or bad for the country. Maybe after Obamacare (Pelosi: We have to pass it to find out what's in it) it's understandable there's suspicion.

Instinctively, I suspect TPP is better than the status quo. Asian countries have a lot of tariff and non tariff barriers that need to come down, and some don't do squat to protect our intellectual property, so maybe this would help that. Part of the reason for the agreement is to screw the Chinese, as they won't be a party to it.

Anyway, it's probably a moot point. It probably won't pass. Trump doesn't like it. Clinton likes it but she'd sell her soul for more votes, so she won't support it either.
