discretion getting a room in motel/hotel

One part I really hate in hobbying is handing my license to hotel staff to check in to a room. They know what you doing since you are local and no reason for you to stay in a hotel. They know your address. Some ask your car license plate. I am sure most don't care what you do. But they put those info in their system which can be hacked and steal but most hackers. This could result blackmail from some hackers in the future. In this Edward Snowden day and age, one cannot be too careful safe guarding their private info.

I am wondering if there is work around to this dilemma. Or Does everyone here has to go through with this?

lower budget hotels don't usually ask for license plates. so that's an option. of course that said - low budget hotel

you could check with the girl to see if she minds getting the room so it's under her name. leaves you out. I think some girls get the rooms anyways. if I'm wrong on that part I'm sure some of them will correct me.

and actually, locals do get hotels sometimes. there is different reasons. depends on if an event is on the opposite side of town or perhaps they are taking a class for a length of time on a side of town opposite of which they live. just a couple of examples. of course if you getting the room with the girl right next to you dressed out of a Victoria's Secret catalog (or out of a Playboy mag) you're probably giving your reason away. (exaggerating for the point)

I am in early stage of SD/SB relationship. My desired solution to this would be for her to invite me to her place. It might be a long shot. But after meeting for couple of months, I am going to ask her. For now securing a location is my burden. There is not many cheap motel type in the area we meet. I end up spending $100 or more on room every time. I think they will still ask my license even if I offer then cash for payment.

They do all ask for ID. If you're concerned about them seeing your local address, use a passport.

I have a state id from two other states I use...and I also fudge a few numbers when they ask for license plate number

LM....my experience is (reputable) hotels ask for plates less and less these days. In the old days, .... it was sop.

I still get asked occasionally for plate number.

Lol @Russ38 ... Maybe she hasn't invite you over because she doesn't want her neighbors to see you. You could rent an apartment for 3-6months, that way you won't have to constantly show I.D

Well I think she should invite me if we continue to keep this up over the time of few months.

I think they ask for license plate to see if there is any unauthorized parking. So if I give wrong plate number, my car might towed

Yep, fake ID at Palace Inn, or if you are banging her several times a week get one of those $$/week extended stay places and just re-up with cash as long as she keeps seeing you. 1/2 those rooms are hookers so nothing will seem out of place.
