Hello KC Gents:

Looking for some help for this week. I will be arriving to KC this week (first visit) and was hoping to get some advice on where to stay in the KC area. More, are there shuttles from the airport to downtown? Does anyone know how much a cab would run from airport to downtown? Thank you in advance!

Many of the traveling providers stay in the Plaza area, south of downtown. Lots of hotels, great shopping, good restaurants and bars. Not sure which hotels have airport shuttles. There are also a number of hotels near the airport that are available and safe.

I agree with all that and add you get a 50/50 chance of being flashed by a random passerby... Been down to the plaza probably 8 times and been flashed 4 times 3 sets of boobs and 1 peen but I was drunk so I guess I was asking for the d

The airport area is nice but Id strongly recommend the Plaza.

Casinos and North KC
Airport/Zona Rosa area has maybe 2 dozen hotels along Hwy 29 (but during midweek there's a lot of traveling businessmen here)
