I don't get it

I don't get the purpose of all the bogus ads on BP. I assume that they are bogus?

Is there money in this stuff? Most are for outcall with out of town phone numbers. No e-mail contacts either.

Is is just to get you to join a site or pay a fee? I have never done it so I don't know but there sure are a lot of them lately.

there is an entire element out there that preys on the "illegal" activities of the world, which sadly includes the hobbyist. Their logic is that if you are scammed while doing something that is illegal, then you will not necessarily get law enforcement involved. And since hobbying is viewed as a "soft" crime, other criminals view hobbyist as "soft" targets and easy marks. so you get scamming providers, "gangster" pimps, robbery and theft rings, etc, which is one reason that i'll never do outcall to my home - under no circumstances.....

It is another reason never to give your real name, or show you driver's license to a provider. Most of the girls here are OK! But, take the time to get to know someone first. After a little talk, or watching the postings, you will get a feeling about what another person is like. Let your big head do the thinking. We all love and need personal contact, and I have known some wonderful women in my life. I just don't trust everyone the instant I read one line in Backpage. It takes a lot more than that, and reviews are nice even if some of them are fake.

Hey, the reason for a guy to be on this board is to stay away from that crap. Save your pennies, date a solid provider that you can research and most of that just becomes background noise.

I wouldn't accept a drivers license as proof of anything. If you are within proximity of a person to look at their license and it's an undercover cop, you're already under arrest.
I google every piece of info I can find about someone before seeing them. So even if they give me a fake name, I can usually ferret out their real name quite easily.

Damn straight! I wish I had half the cash I pissed away on half assed providers.
