Default Herpes HSV1 & HSV2 - A Manageable Risk? or Why take the chance?

A variety of heath related issues come in different forms with that label.

In evaluating your options and choosing a provider..... If you come across an incredibly hot prospect with tremendous reviews but the talk in the locker room or back channels within the circle of people you trust is that she is HSV+.... Are you willing to take the risk?

I was cruising CL in the Personal Ad section looking at SB/SD ads and came across more than one ad where a lady is advertising for a NSA fuck buddy but is willing to admit her condition.

Wrap it and plow in?

What's your thoughts?

You're concern should be more with HPV! It can't be tested for, and in most cases shows no symptoms!

If they are not suffering an outbreak, and if YOU are taking anti-virals AND you wear a condom, the risk is surprisingly low. That being said, with a provider? No. With a significant other, it's manageable.

I'd have to research into it to develop an educated opinion, but before I do, I'll be sure to steer clear.....

That's some serious shit, but I don't think a provider would admit to having this. I treat every encounter as if they might have herpes. Always wear a rain coat and look for clusters of any kind

No... They wouldn't..... Would they have to though for you to factor in the possibility? I have a circle of friends as well as people I've come to trust over the years that if any were to raise a ladies name as being infected I would take it as gospel.

This hobby provides us no absolutes..... I know there are some who believe that every provider is a lady and ladies would never lie...... But there is no shortages of those that "omit" as well as those that lie.......

I do not think there is a shortage of guys that would stear clear of anyone with even a hint of the possibility.

If she fucks 2 guys a day 5 days a week that's 520 guys a year multiply that by how many years she has been in the hobby, and you want to tell me all 520 men every year were disease free, I'd bet most providers have something whether they know it or not.

What's your thoughts?
My thoughts are that you need to point me to threads, anywhere on this website, that this is happening. Of course that is one of the nuclear rule violations and will be handled immediately.

Threads get started, names get named, Mods Edit and warnings and points get issued..... people ask what they missed and info gets shared but the information makes the rounds... people tend to get in the know.....

It's not any different really than the way people dance around the drug issues as well in threads......

and if she does doubles?
Orgies?
AND has a personal sexlife as well?

the thought is staggering....

I am surprised at those that would risk it in regards to seeing a provider..... Taking a risk that would affect your life and the life of a GF, wife or any other civy partners by paying to see an infected hooker rivals any logic I understand.

Here's the issue to me... A huge percentage of the population have had a cold sore at some point. Usually when they were young and maybe never again...sometimes when they were sick and had a compromised immune system. But many many people have had a cold sore.

That said, anyone could have HSV1...and many if not most do. Can it be transmitted at anytime? Yes, but it's most likely transmitted when a sore is present or just before. Meds can make this less likely. Being in tune with your body can make this less likely. Being careful can make this less likely.

So, if a provider or hobbyist does get cold sores from time to time, they should be on suppression therapy. And they should recognize the early signs and take themselves off the market. I think that is reasonable.

Where I have an issue is when a provider or hobbyist appears for a session with a sore. Seriously? Wtf? Totally inappropriate. If you have a cold sore and act properly and responsibly, honestly, no one will know and it will most likely never be an issue.

I'm not arguing for secrecy. I'm arguing for responsibility.

Just my thoughts...

I lived in the tropics for a few years and viral outbreaks especially herpes are very common. Back in the 80's it was discovered that L-lysine will arrest a herpes outbreak and send it back into remission. Once infected, like chicken pox, you have it for the rest of your life. It resides in the ganglea of your facial nerves and lies dormant until stress compromises you immune system and it manifests itself as a cold sore either on the lip or the gens. I took it daily as a propylaxis (preventative) and never became infected. I learned of it from the locals that would religiously take it at the outset of a flare up and the most many would experience would be a red spot on the lips and not the ugly eruption of a cold sore. I was told you cant overdose on it and I witnessed people ingesting it by the handful. Try it for yourself if you get frequent cold sores, you will be pleasantly surprised. I'm with you on prevention any decent person should never knowingly participate during a flare-up. Anyone seeing a cold sore on someone they may end up making contact with i.e. skin to sore would be foolish to continue and compromise their good health ignoring it.
