Default rating on ads

Sorry to be persistent, but I have asked twice now and gotten answers that are not correct. I will try to be more clear with my question.

On threads there are drop down menus at the upper corner for
thread tools search this thread rate this thread

On ads the rate this thread is not there.

So how do ads get rated and by whom.

Specifically I see a True Companions ad in Ft Worth with 5 stars. I would gladly vote no stars if I could only find the button because I am so tired of Dallas ads in Ft W.

Okay look at the top of this thread in the right hand corner. It says rate this thread. You click on the number of stars you think the review post thread or whatever is worth. Anyone can rate the thread. You are only allowed to do it once. If someone else comes along and votes and thinks the thread is bad but you gave it 4 stars they can lower the stars by giving it a lower star count than you. Hope this helps. See I've given this thread 4 stars.

Sorry Tara. Aether is right. I do not see the ability to rate with stars on ads.

Hmmm don't know. Because I'm looking right at it.

I never noticed that before. Apparently only providers can rate ads. I don't see the rating drop down on my screen, either.

I looked after checking this thread as I had also wondered about it. The thread tools drop down menu didn't show up until I logged in.

The rating drop down is different, though. Check the top of this thread, for example, after you log on.

Rating, star count and a drop down arrow are at the extreme right. Click the arrow and your rating choices appear.

I'm telling you, it doesn't appear when I click on an ad thread. It's there on every other thread.

Right on TinMan. No stars drop down option on provider ads.

I think you're right. I suppose since you have posting rights, that's why you can rate the threads (maybe just a feature of the software as opposed to any conscious decision on the part of management).

It is kind of funny now that I know that the 1-star ratings on ads are coming from other ladies.

Yep. Go ahead and rate the ad (be nice and give the lady 5 stars) and let us know you've done so.

I find it funny too. I thought the guys could vote. But dam there must be some jealous woman out there. Funny though it really is
