ive never cared for a beard on anyone

especially a girlfriend

my theory however is that men grow beards to cover some perceived flaw in their looks that they alone see

much like only you, yourself, can detect if you are having either a bad or good hair day, no one else usually notices or even cares to notice

this brings to mind an old story about J.E.B. Stuart - it was said of him that he was among the rarest of men, a man for whom a beard improved his looks
