Take your vehicle to the dealer. Show your findings from google. You may want to be prepared to contact the BBB. If your findings are true, you may be able to go through the Lemon-Law.

Remember, they only want to sell you a car. Not fix it.

Lemon Law does not cover one time occurrences.

True if it persists, she can use it to her advantage.

Do you have insurance? How much is your deductible? Tell your agent a semi passed you and threw a rock and it hit the window.

Tempered safety glass is really hard to break, that's why first responders have a tool for it. Its Achille's heel is at the edge, if in a bind, as in half down, the slightest bump can shatter it. And it can take less than 5lbs of pressure to happen.
If it shows up on google as recurring it may be under a factory recall. If I remember GM just had a list of recalls come out about 6 months ago. Bad design, faulty parts, etc... The dealership should have been aware of a recurring problem like that.

Then again maybe not. Honda CRV's have had a jacked up door lock system since 2007, affecting thousands. A recall Might be issued after the court hearing in May 2015.

It should still be in warranty and isn't "cosmetic related" so the dealership should repair it for you. Keep in the mind that a dealership is motivated to assist you because you are a potential customer for oil changes, future repair work and future car purchases. If that does not help, then apply for lemon law car protection.

Mmmmmm, isn't that insurance fraud? Insurance adjusters have very good eyes and know what is kosher and what isn't. I would be honest with the insurance company.
